Did some shopping and roasted a duck for dinner.
Sons friends stayed over Friday night, not very good at being quiet

Allergies got out of control yesterday , a little better today. Weird.

Mostly = congrats on the 7000 miles, doubt I ever broke that number, even when in training.

Be well,

installed my wilton 5 inch vise on new work table
now have room to start building birdhouses again
will put in an order for 1x6 and 1x10 cedar boards from Tinsmans, which they cut in half for me so they fit
in suv. Probably need to get some new glue, think I'm ok on screws.
Have a tack nailer which sometimes helps in getting assembly done but I always
glue and screw.

nice to get stuff off floor, less hazardous for car door.
warming up outside, will go out a little later again to drain gas out of snowblower and replace
with fresh treated gas.

I used to be a wetland field biologist, working in swamps from Florida to Alaska for the Army Corps of Engineers. Ticks and mosquitoes were always a pain. The only true preventative I found which worked for me was garlic. DEET was good but melted the plastic on truck seats.
With garlic I had to eat enough to get to a level of it in my bloodstream such that mosquitoes, gnats and deerflies would land but take off. But not eat to much that it became offensive to other humans.
Ticks seemed to get on me then try to get off.
Here's a study:

One of my neighbors is a big garlic guy.
You either get used to him or you avoid him, that's how strong the smell is.
Personally I can live with it.
Up at the cottage he's a zero no go zone for skeeters, black flies etc.
However the ticks still love him.
Here in Ontario Kanuckistan if you get a tick bite you can go to your doctor or just the pharmacist and get an antibiotic for the Lyme Desease.

good morning, 57 going 61 today with some rain later on

Saw another episode Clarkson's Farm. Always entertaining about trying different farming methods to make money and always not getting there. But his Lamborghini tractor is a winner

Good Morning!!!! 47F @ 7:45AM. Partly cloudy skies this morning will become overcast during the afternoon. High 62F. Winds NW at 10 to 15 mph.
No rain in the 10-day.

Enjoyed a few days over Christmas over on the coast, just a bit of rain Christmas Eve morning, with mild temps. Lots of big waves to watch, surfer friends with us stayed dry, but others seemed to enjoy themselves. Mostly hiked and beach combed for jade and moonstones. Hotel had nice fire rings and even stocked them with wood, so we had cozy campfires to accompany our Christmas cheer.

Helping friend settle in to new iPhone and MacBook, another one saved from Windoze and Android.🤣

Dogs sure love to tear the paper off their Christmas presents!

Holidays in the middle of the week sure do seem to stretch things out.

Looking forward to things getting back to more of a normal.

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend...

Don’t have too many HF tools, but the ones I have are decent. I keep a Costco branded set in my truck, they are really nice. Have 2 other crescent sets I got at Costco, also nice. They have performed better than some of the old craftsman.

Power went off here 15 minutes ago, just as I was reaching for towel after a shower.
Others went to service, I’m sticking closer to a bathroom.

My wife has had it for a few years...we eat chicken, turkey and fish. I occasionally get bacon, sausage, or a burger, but we were never big beef eaters...always liked the birds better. Supposedly you can "grow" out of alpha gal. She gets tested each year, and her numbers have gotten much better.

Hope your daughter gets better.
I believe that’s what woodchuckdad’s daughter had, it about killed her. She was on feeding tube a long time, but is getting better. I believe she can eat some meat again.
