I liked mine, unfortunately I didn't get to enjoy them long before my box blade broke them.View attachment 2167190View attachment 2167191
Wow that’s incredible ! Could you please do a little more explaining how your box blade caused them to get broke ?
Where did you get your Euro hooks from ? They seem to look a little different than mine.

Please elaborate on how these got broken.
Was using them with my box blade that has drop down scrarifiers. Apparently, the bar interferes with the very tip of the hooks just enough to put pressure on them, and in the process of trying to get them locked it stressed the hooks enough to break them.

This was on a Kubota L3240, just shy of 6k lbs.

So, operator error for not checking clearances?  Still I would have thought that it simply would not have connected, and I guess that it did not, but broke the ends of the hook off. Were you pounding on the implement trying to get it down in the hooks?

Just curious not that it matters, the damage is done. 😞

This is the box blade, I think if I ground the tips of the hook a little it wouldn't have happened. Maybe if I had gone with the Cat 1 instead of the 1/2 it probably wouldn't have been an issue.

Blade was already hooked up, I dropped the scarifiers and apparently it interfered just enough that while operating the bar stressed the tip of the hhooks.

To be clear, the balls were fully seated and locked into the hooks at the time.

So the attachment points pivot with the ripper bar?

Correct, they appeared to clear but apparently caught the tip of the hooks just enough to put a lot of leverage on it, also bent the 7/8 pins (in double shear).

I plan on welding them back up one day, luckily I just cut out new sliding mounts for the euro hooks, so I was able to put my stock ends back in when they broke.

The Pat's just saddle in with the implement pins in the groove they may or may not be square in there.

The Euro hooks are designed to have the correct sized ball on the implement lower lift arm pin, that allows for squaring up with the lift arms and the implement pins and pull points.
Agree. That’s what I was saying about the balls being the primary difference.

I see on your assembly, the Pats slide into your arms. Your arms have a sleeve to accept them. What i have seen are the Pats that straddle over the existing arm with hole and bushing. I believe that's why the guy on the video talked about rotation.

Those aren't Pats, those are euro hook style ends. I have had Pats on another tractor, they were ok, but I like the euro style better.

I have the Pats and added a PTO shaft extension, it was not necessary but made connecting the PTO shaft a lot easier.

I thought the euros were weld on only.
Thanks for clarifying.

To be clear, Euro draft link ends are weld on only. Pat's are bolt on only.

Pat's and the Euro ends ARE NOT the same, not even close.

I had the same result to one of my welded on euro hooks. I was box blading with the scarifiers down. I contacted an immovable buried boulder and snapped the hook. I was using the Cat. 1-2 hooks. I subsequently purchased the Cat. 2 hooks as replacements, but have yet to get them welded on. Their beefier size gives me confidence, but I'm still considering using the ball mounts only, while breaking ground with the box blade.

I purchased a replacement set of OEM ball ends to use after the break, because I had cut the original arms for the weld ons.

Not my experience, to me a quick hitch frame is a head or chin knocker while attaching a pto shaft.

And for me, something else I have to remove to put the backhoe on. Plus a lot of my attachments aren't QH compatible and not easily converted.

I've had QH, Pats and the Euro hooks, Euro were the best for function for me, just need to repair them unfortunately
