I occasionally look at what are the best sellers on Amazon and had to chuckle when I saw
what they say sells best in kitchen stuff. Big fad on those water bottles taken by ladies to the gym, I get that but the next two
made me laugh. I really don't think all those digital scales are being used in the diet or food business.
I'm thinking fair number go to Northern California and Oregon.... :giggle:
was just thinking it wasn't all kidney beans being measured.

Good Evening,
Rough day out there with gale force winds and temps in the twenties with quite a windchill ! I made it through !🙏

So, Scott, curious whether you learned anything that will change how you serve/prepare/store food?
Billy , I actually did pick up some useful information! Things like using different cutting boards for prepping produce, tomatoes, lettuce etc ! Also a separate board for meats , this prevents cross contamination! Also a lot of useful information on at what temps to serve various foods along with how long foods can be kept a certain temperature! But in reality we are cooking hot dogs and hamburgers so most of it isn’t really applicable to our small time operations!

I cannot imagine living in that state due to the hazards.
Well I agree, but I believe I got in trouble for saying something like that ! You couldn’t give me a house over there !

Hope all have a good evening! 🙏

Good early (Friday) arvo. Overnight Low of 12.3C and it's presently 29.4C, mostly cloudy & fairly calm.

Nothing happened yesterday due to my Mate (from Brisbane) having a relaxing day... so, we got 'stuck into it' this morning.

First up was transferring the agisting horses from Paddock #4 to #5. Mostly a water trough tx. THEN, it was time to tackle the chimney flue. That took a while and was definitely needed but was a two-man job. I'm filthy from soot. 😁

Yet, I still went into town to the PO = just regular 'mail', no concession card yet, but 'they' did say that it would take a fortnight to get to me. My first OAP payment did occur this morning though, so, YAY.

Seeing as I'm still 'filthy', I might as well go out and chain-harrow Paddock #4 as rain is predicted for Sat/Sun.

That's about it, take care all.

Good evening all. 29ºF for the start, snow, light breeze. Light wind, snow or winter mix fell all day, and high temp was 32ºF. made coffee to start day, groomed ashes, stoke fire, made Malt-o-Meal for breakfast. did laundry, cleaned up packaging from splitter, used it to make kindling, faster than old one, watched recorded movie napped, and conserved energy. Check snow depth about 1P, 3 1/2 inch. Forecast for 6-9 total for my area.

Good morning,
21° now highs low/mid 30’s and sunny today, winds NW 10-15 mph gusts around 25 mph. Winds dropping down into single digits by supper time.

Quiet day yesterday, dug through closet found my “funeral duds” black jeans and a new flannel shirt. The service for my sister is tomorrow am, so naturally the guessers are calling for snow lol.

Grocery shopping this morning and the rest of the day just conserving energy.

Enjoy your day everyone
Stay safe and healthy
Prayers for all

Coffee is tasting very good today. 10° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 25° with couple inches of snow. Grocery shopping went good. Very few shoppers in stores. Got everything on the list. Rest of the day was spent conserving energy. Will check out tractors in case there is enough snow to plow tomorrow. Hope to get a Sassy walk in.
Got a new bird feeder for Christmas

RNG, prayers for friend, that he recovers for his illness quickly.

Everyone stay safe and well.

Good Morning All.

Morning all!
Currently 21. Looks like we could have our first day above freezing if the weather guessers are correct. Sunny and 35!

Finally making headway with the insurance co. Someone is supposed to come look at the car this morning. We bought the replacement car yesterday. Now need to go to the DMV and get the transfer paperwork done. If they fix the crashed car we will decide which one to keep and which one to sell.

Not much else going on. Keeping the two pellet stoves going is my only important task! I did manage to get into the shop and bang out some work. No news on the new lathe. Hoping it will come in sooner than planned!

Wife is now officially retired. First check will be nice after 4 years of living off of just me. Hopefully can start doing more now that we don't have to worry so much about big repair bills eating up the nest egg!

That's it for now.
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!
