not me..im all in on stocks. have been for 20 years. i just keep riding the ups and downs. the most money i ever made was after the covid drop when everyone said to sell but we did not.
My thinking exactly. Last week was the week to sell before the losses. I'll stay ~ it will come back. History has proven that.

I’ve done the same for 30+ years. But at this time in life, I don’t want to experience another 2008 32% drop. Which could happen if tariffs are widespread and deep. Or maybe this won’t happen. Getting back in is easy.

Yes but getting out after a drop realizes a loss. And getting back in after a gain does the same.
Historically people that held during 2008 made more money than people who sold.
Invidia was a prime example.

plus, when you get out your hit with the taxes on the capital gain. no thanks. i made more money on the stock market last year than i ever did working... way more.
i actually keep a spread sheet going back nearly 20 years. if i do dec to dec recaps, its truly amazing on how much we get per year.

Very true. But when you have a need for the investment funds within the next year or two, it changes your loss tolerance.

Same. Timing the market has proven to lose people more money than not. 30 years and averaging 13% plus... Without an advisor. Too much fear and emotion

I wear tennis shoes year round. Amazing what you can find shopping online. Walmart, Avia. $6.30!???
Most shoes are all made in China anyway and color doesn't matter. Free shipping if order was over $35 & received next day.

It was $700 each to buy those tapered columns so I made these. The materials just got charged with other supplies but I’ve probably got $120 each in materials for those.

Used to see those style columns on houses built about 1920. Great to see these instead of the prefab ones.

I wondered how you were doing MossRoad, we hadn't heard much from you.

Good luck
All I could say was ooo, oww, ooo, oww for a couple days. 😂

Just kidding. Didn't have my electronics in the hospital. I felt immediate relief after the surgery. I can stand up straight again, no pain in my legs anymore, did a lot of laps at the hospital. Just have to wear a back brace for 3 months, walk a couple hours a day, and use a bone growth stimulator 2 hours a day. Weaning off the pain meds and trying to make the cat understand I can't carry him around for a while. Hope to be back to work mid-April.

Recovery is no fun, even for the spouse. My wife is learning a new way of living.

Your back brace may improve your posture. My uncle wore one for 3 months after breaking his back in the late 60's. He was instructed to put it on before he got out of bed in the morning and not to take it off until he was in bed at night.

April can't come soon enough for me either. (y)
