Help Me Name a Custom Lumber Company

Some of you might have read my post about the inspiring 18 year old young man who has his own custom lumber company that offers kiln drying, slab flattening, etc. Well the name of his company, Integral Edge Enterprises LLC. is kind of lame and he knows it. I am trying to help this kid get his feet under him a bit. With college, running the business and family life he has had a hard time getting an internet presence that will inevitably get him more customers. So I am giving him a little shot in the arm and helping him get rolling. I want this kid to be successful for two reasons A) because I think it is cool that he is 18 yo and starting this business B)his kiln is 7 minutes from my work, it don't get any more convenient than that!

The first thing we have to do before branding this business is give it a better name. So I thought I would pick y'alls brain about a new name. There is a small sawmill and custom lumber yard near here name Push Hard Lumber, that is a cool name! Now obviously we can't use that name but I would like it to be something cool and memorable like that. WHATCHA GOT?

His main things are sawmilling but mostly for his own stock to sell, kiln drying, slab flattening and planing, firewood. I think he has a leg up on the avg. sawmiller because he has access to this kiln and can offer kiln dried lumber.

True story. High school around 1980 I took Building trades Junior- Senior year in HS. The class built a house each year. Great teacher by the way. My GF got me a t-shirt with the old iron on things that had a drawing of a 2x4 and It Takes a stud to build a house. A couple friends and myself were caught loafing in the cafeteria. We got called into the "Dean's" office as to why we were skipping class. He looks at me and said I don't like what that shirt implies so go home and change it. I drove my truck to school so not a problem yet he forgot to give me detention that my two friends got. When I got home my mom I think rolled her eyes about the Dean's request.

I don’t the business name matters. I tried various things for my business but found all my work came from word of mouth or me taking to people in person. Then one day you have more than you can do and advertising is worthless unless you want to hire more people.

What kind of business were you in? While I am not doubting your experience I would say things are a bit different now. But yes, I agree in the grand scheme of things the name is far from the most important. But you don't want it to suck, because it's harder to change after you have made that name into something.
