Good Morning all and especially the GM early risers. Coffee is really great this morning!

It's 47°F and cloudy here but not sunrise yet. Got a decent rain yesterday. Hope it clears up especially toward the end of the week. I have a few things penciled in on the calendar today but, really, they are optional, depends on the weather.

I hope everyone has a safe and productive day. Drew, I am going to wish you a Happy Birthday a little bit early, just in case I miss it in a month from now.

Sunny Skies Everyone!

Prayers for our Nation!

Sorry to hear about your mice problem. Glad you are having luck catching them.
I live in a small cottage that is likely as porous as swiss cheese.
when I hear scrabbling sounds, first have to make sure it's not a squirrel on the roof.
but there are no welcome mats out for insects or critters in this house.

I'm amazed how well those new plastic mouse traps work. One load of peanut butter got three mice.
highly efficient

as it has been, so it will be.
they will be back

now I have to carefully vacuum bathroom and get tp bits cleaned up.
plus sanitize whole area again
mice are disease carriers, welcome to bleach

big day today
get to try out my new suspenders
think I got the right ones this time
hopefully a cure for my pants always falling down
tired of "hitching" them up...
I've even had them fall down, or try to, while I had my arms full outside.
Or at the gas pump, visions of getting arrested for indecent exposure
late wife said I was all gut and no butt, so I need a little help I guess

Good Morning,
Punta Cana, 76 to start going to 81 and still very breezy! Winding down here, but managed to tack on a few extra pounds in the last few days ! 😉 By next Monday I need to be on the straight and narrow ! 😂

We do have the cleanest air in the world. I'm not making that up either; the official readings are taken at Cape Grim in the NW
Randy, I’m assuming they are not taking those air measurements while you are York raking paddock #5 😂😂

Time to get moving, I see blue sky outside! 😉

Thank you all for the condolences on my FD friend, just a terrible thing! 🙏

Hope all have a great and blessed day ! 🙏🙏

30 outside this AM. Need to get the ruler out on the snow total. More than expected. Roads were a mess last evening and into the night. Have not heard a plow since the incident last night.

Hope all have a great day. Time to get the wood stove hotter, feed the animals and plow the driveway. Although, I don't think anyone is going anywhere for a day or so.

Be safe.

Good morning, the low is -20 and going to a high of 16°F. Wind E 7 mph. Right now it is clear. Around noon today the snow will start. About 10" expected.

I moved Thursdays' dump run up to today. So it will be dump, town for groceries and back into my cave until after the snow stops tomorrow.

You guys with pellet stoves that are having problems with them, get yourself an APU, yes the same APU you use for your computer and plug the pellet stove in that. Pellet stove boards do NOT like fluctuating power. A good power bar will do the same trick but without the bigger expense.

When I was a lot younger 80 was my favourite number. 80 mph, cruised across black ice doing it one day, came out the other side still straight and going a bit slower. Watched a RCMP cop on the highway in Saskatchewan slide across the highway, jump in his car and promptly slide into the ditch. Prompted me to slow down, some. I did learn that you can go as fast as you want in slippery conditions as long as you are willing to pay the price IF you screw up.
Also don't plan on turning or stopping.
I learned my snow and ice control on frozen lakes. At the time (late 60s to early 70s) the cops couldn't drive their cars onto the lakes and they didn't have snow machines then. Up here you can get busted (stunting ticket) for doing donuts on an empty parking lot.

Scotty, sorry for the loss of your friend.

riptides, remember the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away.

Breakfast time,

Stay safe everybody
