Good morning,
29° now and looks about 2” on the ground so far.

Today 02/13
A wintry mix this morning will transition to mainly light rain for the afternoon. High 36F. E winds shifting to NW at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precip 100%. Snow and ice accumulations less than one inch.

Tonight 02/13
Some clouds this evening will give way to mainly clear skies overnight. Low 21F. Winds W at 15 to 25 mph. Winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph.

Not sure what today will bring other than a little snow cleanup before it freezes later on, we shall see.

Enjoy your day everyone
Stay safe and healthy

Coffee is done brewing. 19° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 26° with winds over 30 mph. Grocery shopping went good. Shelves are full. Except eggs. Got my property taxes paid. Not much else got done yesterday. Got about 4" of snow overnight. Will be cleaning it off drive and walkways today. Then back in house where it is warm. Let Sassy out a few minutes ago. Whatever the depth is it's belly high on her.

Everyone stay well and safe.

Good Morning All.

Good Morning,
Punta Cana, 76 to start going to 81 and still very breezy! Winding down here, but managed to tack on a few extra pounds in the last few days ! 😉 By next Monday I need to be on the straight and narrow ! 😂
My Cabin Fever friend in Maine posted this. I am sure it was meant for you. :coffee::cool:

good morning
light rain outside and warming temps
waking up slowly, not much planned for today so no sense rushing into it
I bet these warmer temps will motivate the forsythia to bud, already have spring bulbs popping up

dealer called, new brain for infotainment system approved, will take five days to get here.
will be nice to depend upon the electronics, hopefully operation will not be so slow.
by far the least impressive nav system I've owned.

annoyed to find car came with max tow package but no brake controller. There's a hole in the dash
for the unit. 135 for a Dorman part, double that for oem, and needs software update to make it work.
Have read online you can do that with an OBD scanner, but probably safest to have dealer install it, for a ridiculous
amount of money. Am going to research how to program a Dorman unit, see if this is within my and Popgadget's paygrade.
well....at least his. Brake controller is a must, can't tow without it. Car comes with electronic anti sway, but I'll be getting a weight
distributing hitch anyway. You need it all.

24F snowing almost couple inches so far, will mix later on than freezing rain before exiting after 2pm.

Outside chores done.
Plans for today...least try 4 hours at part store before becoming tried, after that haven't a clue.

Enjoy your day all.

Good Morning from Central Texas
At 4:30 AM, 34.9 degrees, 31.1 dew point. Next several days are on the "cold side" for us.

The United States Space Force (established Dec 2019) operates under the Department of the Air Force overseen by the office of the Secretary of the Air Force. The mission is “secure our nation’s interests in, from, and to space.” with the motto "Semper supra," Latin for "Always above".

Space Force is organized into three main divisions: Field commands, Deltas and squadrons. The service's three field commands are Space Operations Command (SpOC), Space Systems Command (SSC) and Space Training and Readiness Command (STARCOM)

The members are called "guardians": Quick facts
  • The Space Force is the sixth military branch of the U.S. Armed Forces
  • The Space Force's mission is to protect U.S. interests in space and provide space capabilities to the joint forces.
  • The Space Force organizes, trains, and equips military and civilian Guardians.
  • The Space Force's Guardians defend space and cyberspace.
    • The Space Force manages space launch operations at the East and West Coast Space Launch Deltas.
    • The Space Force commands and controls all DoD satellites.
    • The Space Force monitors ballistic missile launches around the world.
    • The Space Force maintains space superiority to protect U.S. space assets from hostile attacks.

Hope all enjoy the day ahead.

I read that Kohler has been bought out by private equity,
now known as Rehlko. (same letters)
often private equity buyout means doom to company,
hope not for Kohler. Apparently their new diesel engines that run on vegetable oil and their
new generator engine that runs on hydrogen have the clean fuel/clean air folks interested.
I bet those hydrogen gens will sell well in California, they already have a little hydrogen infrastructure there for cars.

used to be Briggs, Kohler and Honda.
Seems like Kawasaki is now top engine option above 14 hp.
Kohler seemed to make pretty plastic covers for their engines that looked nice
but the engines don't seem to last like they used to.
but if you have a wood splitter that's used 20 hours a year, after 20 years that's only 400 hours.
But I got twenty years, great motor!
maybe

I'm sure Kohler has a premium line, likely used in their generators.
But they get remembered for the junk they have built...like john deere with their department store mowers
that folks expected to last forever. You build engines with plastic cam gears and what do you expect?

for small engines, if we got 20 years and a 1000 hours of reliable operation, I think
that would meet most expectations for small motors.
But today I think they are designed for 10 years and 500 hours.
certainly anything gasoline fueled that is not running E-0 isn't likely to go ten years reliably.

what's your favorite motor?

I'd go with Kawasaki. My two year old Hustler ZT came equipped with it, and it seems well built without too much plastic. But, I am FAR from any type of mechanical genius ! Way far.

Mostly, needed away to move my neighbors military trailer to my shop area without hooking up to his Duce and Half. It is so heavy that it leaves ruts wherever it goes. I found a drawbar that has a raised 2” tube for moving a high ball hitch. Will see how it works when it arrives this weekend.
