Good Morning,
Punta Cana, 74 to start going to 82 ! Last full day down here, we leave tomorrow afternoon! So May as well enjoy our last few hours down here ! Overall the weather has been pretty good, a little windy but not much in the way of rain ! So no big complaints!

Ron , thanks for sending the video but it comes up as no longer available! Maybe it’s on my end ! Don PMed me some info that I was unable to open down here, so it could be on my end ! Thanks !

I guess our sons and families have missed our presence at home because they have lined up some child sitting for us starting Sunday night , Monday afternoon and all day Tuesday!
Nana could never say no to all of that !

I’m hearing that the weather at home is somewhat less than desirable, so hoping that will change soon !

34 outside right now, heading to mid 50's. Rain moving along and out of here shortly.

Driveway is clear, pastures are still under a decent amount of snow cover. Looks like hay for the horses this AM. Snow and more importantly, no ice, looks like it will be gone in a day or so. Not like the last storm that sat ice on the driveway for over a week.

Driveways that I plowed yesterday are clear of ice and left over snow. Fields and unplowed driveways are still covered in snow but not for long I suspect

Cody did some "talking" in his sleep last night. May be he was chasing a squirrel

Good morning TBN!!

35 this morning and the rain is clearing out. Should get to 60+ today.
Mostly conserved energy yesterday. To sloppy and cold wet air is hard on the body.
I did get my sensors installed yesterday and they are working fine. Got the wires tucked in a stapled out of the way. I think I skipped a step with the 1st pair. Not that there were any instructions except for mounting. I held the sensors and triggered the opener and low and behold they are fixed.
Another day of non walking. Got only 5k steps for the day. Should be more today although I can't cross the river on the stepping stones. Barely got across yesterday morning and another inch of rain since then. I didn't even get the mail. I will have to ride to get it today.
Going out for diesel today as I am completely out.

Time for a third cup

Good morning, the low is 7 and going to a high of 18°F. Wind N 7 mph. Snow, ending around noon. 4" so far, I WILL be plowing today.
More snow coming on Saturday.

So far I have had good luck with the Kawasaki engine on my ZT. I had the option of either a Kohler or Kawasaki, went with the Kawasaki because the last Kohler I had only lasted one season on a different mower. Developed a rod knock. The dealer that sold me the Country Clipper got rid of it for me.

Block heater is turned on. Will start plowing about noon or so.

The winter that I was a snow bird (1973) I went to Florida with my parents. Dad had taken a heart attack and couldn't drive or fly according to his quack. He got me to drive them down in his motor home. We left after American thanksgiving and were going to stay until the 1st week of May. It was so cold down there that we decided that if we had to brave the cold we would do it at home. Came back north in late February. Other than trucking, I haven't been back.

went out and hand shoveled more of the driveway and lower parking spaces.

I checked Catskills weather, 10 to 12 inches of snow predicted so folks North here comes another one
our weekend will be a washout

For small air cooled engines, I would say the Honda GX series.
Wisconsin singles like the AEN, or the Kohler cast iron opposed twins were quite good also.

35 and melting, especially after getting .6" of rain yesterday/last night. Snow depth is still at 4.5" and driveway is a slushy mess. Never froze under the snow. Sunshine is promised before end of the day.
