Good Morning!

37° F and windy so it feels like 20°F16 mph winds out of the north. Oklahoma should shut that door! Supposed to be sunny today and get up to 62°F.

I am not doing anything until Monday, so the rabbit hole here I come.

Sounds like it's the day for a rabbit hole!

Been doing a little research this morning and sending out some texts. I'm sure my partners will appreciate the ones I sent at 5am.

Going to HEB this morning to get a rotisseri chicken to make some Jambalaya for the next couple days I've got everything except for the chicken. May pick up a ribeye or two.

Supposed to meet one partner in Austin Tuesday but he said he probably will have to pass to break up the ponds for his cattle.
Got some work to do Monday evening close to the house and next week looking forward to an event in Austin then a trip for the investure of a friend who was elected to a court bench.

Maybe this wind will blow all the leaves out of my yard and I won't have to rake or mulch them.

Good Morning,
Ct, 28 to start going to 40’s ! We have a huge mess outside, a few inches of snow and then a thick layer of ice on top ! We left Kathleen’s car out and it took me a half hour to clean it off ! Light rain continues and heavier rain later, a receipe for a huge mess outside!

Youngest son came and plowed the DW but there is still plenty of cleanup, side walk etc ! So I better get back at it !

All church services were cancelled!

Morning all;
A kind of miserable day outside, we ended up with 2-3 inches of snow then it has switched to a freezing drizzle. It has soggied the snow down to about an inch or 1 1/2 inches of crap. The ice buildup on the limbs and wires and such is only a tenth of an inch so far, the forecast is for this to continue till late evening then change to snow again. The ground is still cold enough that plowing now would just result in a skating rink later.

Guess I'll go out and clean of the deck to get to the bird feeders and a touch on the walkways to plug in the heat tapes for the roof and gutters, fun fun fun.

The rains are very hard right now. About 46 outside and heading to mid 50's. Wind is starting to pick up too.

Birds are actually on the porch because of the weather. We also have a washout on the driveway and front pasture. I imagine the back is probably over the banks.

today is a historic day in Philadelphia
the ocean liner USS United States is finally leaving
going to the gulf coast to be sunk as part of a reef.
on Monday it will be towed down the Delaware River.
Bet that will be a sight to see.

when I had a boat on the Delaware River 20 years ago used to visit this historic ship
every time. The stacks were still pretty red then and it was impressive. No more.
I'm surprised it floats.

Almost got 1st tilling of 2nd area done, maybe 30 minutes shy. A must more challenging area, rougher terrain, more rocks.
Almost, and then I broke my tractor, the adjustable lift rod for the 3pt anyway.

I know for many here, this would be a simple welding fix. For me, maybe, we’ll see.

I rented a 3 pt tiller once. The top link hole was so wallered out, the tiller just bounced up and down, also due to the tines being so dull. Waste of $$$.
Learned that day. Look over the equipment before you rent it. Note problems with the management.

34 and found out it is overcast when I went outside to see the Space Station fly by. Going up to 40 but lots of rain coming.

Ron, I know you miss her...I bet she was a very special lady.

Didn't do much for Valentine's with my 1st love...she was out grocery shopping all day for our big get-together today...so I took my 2nd love to the dump and then hiking to the river...the trail was constantly changing from slop to mush to ice to plain snow depending which side of the slopes and how much sunlight it had received. Also finished the farm LLC taxes and filed. What a relief. Now need to mail out 5 K-1 and financial statement packages.

taking care of mom is busy and tiring, but an effort of love. Thank you all for the kind comments.

Bupps and all suffering storms, be careful. Hard to wrap my head around that many downed trees.

Headed to church. Then cooking NY strips for late lunch.

Its cold down here too. 32F here before the sun came out. Real cold coming for 3-4 days of freeze later this week.

Morning all, 38 going up to 54 and rain.

Yesterday my dog had a massive seizure, spent 6 hours in the animal hospital.

They are not sure if it was an epileptic seizure or stroke.
She is doing better today, just tired.
Lots of tests by Dr and it seems she has all her faculties. She even has a bit more energy this morning.

Drew - only protection on the tower was a guide rope. I sometimes lugged up oscilloscopes and other large gear in one hand while going up. Today I'd be holding on for dear life
I also was stationed at one point at the end of the runway and sometime the taxi ways with trays full of equipment. Luckily Republic didn't have capability of large jets.

The snow down by the animal hospital didn't really stick, it was much worse when I got close to my house yesterday where it made the roads a bit slick, still not too bad though.

Sodamo,David , your property is certainly testing your tractor. Hope the fix isn;t too many $

Yesterday my dog had a massive seizure, spent 6 hours in the animal hospital.

Cody has had a few seizures. We had MRI testing of his heart and ruled out it is heart related. Stopped the injections for flea and tick prevention since it may contribute. Still had a couple of seizures lasting 10 to 20 mins and then he is fine

Yesterday was more an inside day. Misty rain, enough not to wan to be in it, so nothing on my tiller other than confirming it is a left hand thread and the part is available from Messick.

Meeting some friends for brunch at local eatery. A bit pricey, but good friends who will be returning home Wed.
