I have one car that is right hand drive and a stick…

Never have gotten use to driving from the right side…

Three manuals in the stable now. An 87 Brat with dual range 4-speed and a 98 Z3 and a 2000 328Ci, both with 5-speeds.

I should update my list to include Nissan Versa as the base model is available with a manual. Camaro is not made anymore and Mustang manual is only available in the $50K GT which is a little more than I want to spend. I drove a Subaru WRX a few years ago and felt it was a little too noisy and harsh riding for a daily driver. I should check out the Toyoya/Subaru GR86 but it doesn't get that good of mpg and requires premium to boot. There's Hyundai Elantra N but its 19", 35 series tires would be horrible on the rough roads around here and 23 mpg combined is pretty low.
Might I suggest this?

Mazda MX5 Miata

Quite a bit of fun.

My fleet,
1998 S10 standard cab 4x4 manual (Not factory, I put it in)
1998 S10 standard cab 2x4 manual
2000 S10 ZR2 standard cab 4x4 manual
2000 S10 Blazer 2 door 4x4 manual
2007 Jinma 284 manual
2008 Pontiac Solstice GXP manual
2000 Harley Electra

Yeah, if you can't tell, I'm not a fan of fluid drive.
1000 miles every month, never even think that shifting is a bother, in fact I feel that a stick makes you more aware of your driving.

Thanks, they are fun in fact I had a 1999 Miata and sold it because, for me, it wasn't that good as a daily driver. Ingress and egress was a little difficult then LOL and now 26 years later probably more so. It had limited room inside and a very small trunk, it was geared tight so spinning pretty fast at highway speed, mpg wasn't that great, and it was very noisy. And not nearly as fun as a motorcycle. But I'll at least look at the new Miata.
Another one I should check out is a GR Corolla.

Don't think I've seen a RH drive vehicle in many, many years. For a couple years in the 90s (?) a lot of mailmen seemed to have RH drive Suburus. Apparently, they didn't stand up well, because they weren't around long.

Curiously, are the pedals the same configuration as with LH drive or do you have to learn to clutch with your right foot?

I hear ya, I felt like I'd turned in my man card first time I bought a vehicle with an automatic, but I got over it. Good thing, sticks aren't even offered in anything that interests me.

It’s mostly shifting with my left hand and the view looking at the mirrors and being nervous about lane position relative to the center of the road…

Here is a picture just like my 1938 Morris and the only right hand dive with a steering wheel I own. 3 speed manual it has.

Technically my 1905 Olds 2 speed is also right hand drive because driver sits on the right…

Always liked old iron… cars and tractors and thought it would be cool to have one to represent each decade to show the evolution of the automobile and a barn or hall to display.

Have yet to achieve the display part but met a lot of nice people along the way.

I learnt to drive in a RHD car with a column mounted 4-speed manual tranny. As far as I can remember the pedal arrangement is identical to LHD cars; left to right - clutch, brake, accelerator.

Took my baby for a run today. I try to get it out every week five speed no computers no power or anything except brakes. It was originally I built it as a track car and now I just drive it weekly. It’s been an 18 year project of love the base car is a 19 Euro Porsche 911 SC. And it brings a smile to my face every time I get behind it very little in the way of creature comforts but boy it’s fun to drive and roll the gears and that says a lot for a guy that’s over 82.

Boss had a Toyota Stout pickup with column 4 speed.

Only Stout I ever encountered and only column 4 spd. I ever drove.

Seemed to be a rugged compact truck from around 1967?

I remember a woman hit the back not paying attention… zero damage to the Stout and plenty of damage to her car…

Took the Cobra out for a shake down and fuel. The open headers are loud. Gears clunk into place, and the steering is heavy. It was great
An old hotrod friend and I are off early in the AM to a cars and coffee. (y)
Enjoy your loves ones. Remember to hug the wheel and grip the gear shifter like you will never let go. ;)

1965 Chevy C10 with 230 straight 6. 3 on the tree. I had one in high school and always regretted selling it. Found one several years ago and did frame off restoration. Really enjoy getting it out and driving it . Don’t want a manual for everyday though.

I remember the heavy steering the most at 16 trying to park the 427…

I much preferred to be a passenger once I learned not to burn my calf getting out!

I think I still have a faint scar from that.

All gone now…

I’m sure it’s already spoken for in the family!

The dealership pickup was a 69 Ford with 360 and 3 on the tree… many many miles and twice wore out the shifting collar on the steering column!
