She took off this morning walking Chief of police of Danville picked her up took her to hospital in Rocky Mount saw same PA that did some tests on her got ECO on her now she cannot leave. but then I haven't driven a motorcycle in 50 years.

got the last of the rv stuff out and packed in bins, now waiting to move all the gardening seed trays to
garden shed so the resulting garage space can be used for rv storage.
I have a 14 yo who will be my helper on that.
unless I get bored and do it myself

I made sure to leave the rv fully equipped, even with tp.
a whole crate full of spares and motor oils, spare power cord, power cord extension, surge protector, etc.
using disinfectant wipes cleaned out all the bathroom shelving and installed a new shower head to replace the one
that blew up from freezing. Rv is now ready to get plumbing fixed. Maybe I'll connect the water system later this week and see
if I can get something to drip.
hoping to get that 14 yo down there to work on this, not sure of his mechanical ability, he's smart
and uses tools so should be ok.

had to laugh when I thought about rv shower head exploding from freezing, flinging seven different parts everywhere.
back in the day dragsters used to have to have safety cages of some kind around their engines to keep them from
rocketing out in an explosion.
easiest solution vs Popgadget 3D printing a safety enclosure for the shower head
would be to drain the line next Fall...

absolutely, that's whole idea of boxing it up so it won't get wrecked in the meantime.
not sure how quickly next trailer will come, but I'm up to about 6 boxes of stuff.

wow did I find a lot of hose washers. I have dozens and dozens of them.
even I can't lose them that fast.
some of the amazon gardening tools comes stuffed with extras, like twenty hose washers with
one dual outlet splitter. I can see two extra but twenty?
maybe I'll use them as house presents, along with some apples.

more likely another long nail in the garden shed and the washers will ride the nail forever

Sad about Gene Hackman and his wife. I suspect it is rather common for our set. I know my own Dad. He was living in Maine, me in Georgia. Got a call from my brother in New Hampshire, but only half hour away says Dad wasn’t answering his phone, had I spoken with him. Yes, but not since the weekend. Brother found him in his bed. Noone had checked on him in several days.

Doing some yard work this morin and came in to heat up lunch. Still working on a good roast I made a couple days ago. After lunch plan to go to Costco or HEB for a couple things. Gas up at Costco.

It's been a busy week and will be again next week. Two obligations slightly colliding. Been getting some great feed back on things on one "work" front. Opened up some new lines of communication and it looks to be well recieved. Looking to get started in a few weeks on another "work" front - could be a little rocky in some places but it goes with the territory.

Texas does not like changing clocks and in November we will probably vote on it.
The problem is what to leave it at Daylight savings time or regular time this is where the people divide up 50% one way or another. I prefer regular time.

I'm on the 'other' 50% side Don. Neither is wrong just different preferences. I'm also in the 'just pick one and leave it' camp.

Praying for the best outcome from this.

the washers will ride the nail forever

I have that same problem. Never can find a hose washer when I want it but know I have a hundred somewhere. I have found some that were so old they were brittle and dried out.

Noone had checked on him in several days.

That was shocking about the Hackman's. Really hated to hear that. You point to a real issue with keeping in touch with family members. Our family uses WhatsApp to stay in touch with each other everday. It's like texting but we like it better for sharing pictures to a group. We all check in throughout the day at least once, someway, somehow. Actually very convenient.

33°F and partly cloudy this morning, down from our midnight high of 48°. Warmed back up to 40-ish early afternoon, then dropping since. 31° now. That wind from the north was cold this morning.

Wife sent me a text message while I was in a meeting Friday morning telling me that there was water in the closet under the stairs ... water heater was leaking. So, I told the boss I had to go, and went home just before lunch. By the time I got there (45 minute drive), she'd already called a plumber, he'd already been there, and had a crew coming back in the afternoon to install a new one. I looked at her, and she said, "Yeah, I guess you didn't have to come home after all."
(mumbling)
Two guys showed up around 3pm, unannounced, and I had to scurry to get the dogs put up in the bedroom. Nice guys, and they got the old one out and the new one in in just about an hour. We have hot water again.

Friday fun, part II: decided to wash the pile of towels we had holding the water at bay, but the washing machine wouldn't fill with water. Great. Not in the mood to mess with it yesterday, so I left that for today. Nothing seemed to be clogging the inlets, so I grumbled some unkind words at it, tried it again, this time with hot water, and it worked. Told The Wife I fixed it with Ninja Magic ... deception and fear. Something about turning off the water pressure must have made it unhappy, but it's working now, so I'll not question that.

Drew, I believe the largest pipe organ in Philly is the Wanamaker Organ. I believe it is, in fact, the largest in the US. Not sure which church organ would be the largest, but I'd certainly be willing to take it for a spin wherever it is. I, too, have loved pipe organs since I was a child. Sat in front of one in the choir loft of the Lutheran church I grew up in, with my Mother's sister playing it, while I was in the children's choir. That love was instrumental (pun intended) in my getting a job at Wicks Organ company 20 years ago. That job, in addition to just being awesome, also helped me realize the lifelong dream of having my own pipe organ in my home. While there, I bought a small 2-rank instrument from an old church in Perryville, MO. Wicks Opus 1384 was in my home for about 13 years until I got married, and the ceilings in this house weren't tall enough to accommodate it. So, I sold it to a friend who'd started his own organ company, and he installed it in a small church over in Missouri. Here's a picture of it just after I got the case and console assembled after reworking all the electrical connections and cables.

That thing took up a good chuck of my living room, but it was totally worth it.

I prefer light earlier in the morning, and darkness sooner in the evening now that I'm older and not water skiing or M/C riding all day...we used to water ski until almost dark.

Since Don warned me of the impending Norther front, I took off for a motorcycle ride. It was great. Took some back roads that were behind the back roads. Almost hit a Pileated woodpecker while I was only going about 25mph. That would've ruined my day. But the ride was awesome because the scenery was beautiful. Wish I had a helmet cam.

I need to go back and catch up on what all I've missed.

I’m in the leave it at standard time all year camp. Being “unemployed” and old enough to start nodding off around 7:00 pm anyways I prefer the “earlier” sunrise.
On the other hand just pick one I’ll adjust !
