Drew, I am not sure about American tankers, but up here we cannot fill over 3/4 full. That creates some slop. You don't want to be involved with hot asphalt cement. It sticks like glue and will cook you from the inside out. Short answer, stay well away from any tankers.

I am going to take a W.A.G. that your former church didn't follow the ten Commandments? #9 in particular?

Effective February 14, 2025, the price for Microsoft 365 Personal subscriptions will increase from USD 69.99* per year to USD 99.99* per year

email today from my buddies at Microsoft.
I think not.
they've been badgering me to update my expired credit card.
that's one way to make them go away, don't pay them.

what a ridiculous price increase, almost 43 percent
I guess anything goes now out in the marketplace

Kyle, details on that outboard, again?

unless we hit something, I think most outboard repairs are to
the fuel system. After rebuilding my Yamaha carbs three time, four tiny little carbs,
I bought a new motor. And then promptly gave boat to my older brother who has it up
in Michigan. And now his carbs are acting up.
Ethanol fuel is a crime.
how about ditching that altogether and adopting the German clean gas.
but we won't, too much money at stake.
not only are folks like Cargill getting enormously rich on this stuff but it's costing most of us time, aggravation
and money
Sears Ted Williams 5.5 hp small air cooled outboard.
I don't have an ultrasonic cleaner but wish I did. It would probably work.

Keep a tank of 100 LL aviation fuel around, and before you store your engine, run AVgas thru it. It stores for long periods.

It is easy to clean out most small engine carbs, if you can easily get to them, and know which passages to poke a small steel wire through.

Bill, for twenty grand more per truck they could outfit
them with cameras where you watch it all from the warmth and safety of your cab.
next meeting put that in the suggestion box...
meanwhile try not to fall into any holes.

I would think hauling asphalt or goopy stuff like that would be pretty safe.
I'd sure rather be next to an asphalt tanker on the road than a chemical, gasoline or propane tanker.
actually, I'd probably like to be next to a milk tanker.
that sure seems pretty safe... ;)
Asphalt is likely to be hot,
Milk tanker do not have baffles, if not full the slosh through baffles can start butter forming which reduces the butter fat content of the milk.
Partly full tankers slosh and move around considerably at time.
