I have an ATV type 25 gal sprayer with a 2.4 GPM pump. I want a boom to go with it but the kits you can buy are really expensive for what they are.

Have any of you built your own? I apparently don't know the correct terminology nothing search comes up with the nozzles. I assume you could get nozzles on hose barb Ts and elbows but I can't seem to find them.

Sprayer Specialties has the folding 12' boom for you.

They sell boomless nozzles so unless your trying to get a 15' swath they may work for you with no boom or a very small one.

Agree with nyone, I have a folding 10 ft boom attachment for my ATV, but it was a pain to keep the nozzles spraying at the same rate

Switched to a boomless nozzle, so much easier, same results as boom. Sometimes, if I am persnickety, I first spray north-south, then east- west, but don’t normally need to do that.

I bought a 110 gallon boomless sprayer and built 2 booms for it that can be removed and they have hydraulic cylinders for raising and lowering. Also has valves so I can operate 1 boom 2 booms or just the 3 spray tips on one boom for spraying ditches. And I can still use it as a boomless.

I'm suddenly reminded that spaying weed control, we have an outfit that wants to charge the township $150 an hour for SPOT spraying weeds plus materials in the township ditches. I'm half temped to get the license myself and weld up an electric boom arm on my RZR.

BTW, I simply used a stick of 1 1/4" square tubing cut in half. I think I spaced my tips 20" apart. Used 1/2" sprayer hose.

This is a 3 PH sprayer. Much too heavy for a UTV. I have a 40 gallon boom sprayer that fits right in my Polaris Ranger. It has 5 spray nozzles. That's what I use for my lawn spraying with 2,4D, atrazine and Regent for fire ants.

I ended up ordering this yesterday. I figure I'll be able to find some scrap, or worst case scenario some old 2x4s for the "boom" itself in the short run.
