64°F and 0 rain.

Retrieved my hydraulic cylinders yesterday, but of course not without some drama. When I checked late Fri the guy told me 1 was done but not the second. Told me they were open Sat 8-12. So I questioned what time they would be ready and he assured me 8 am. So I roll in about 9:30 and same guy tells me not ready but they were open til 12 and they would be. I did my best to stay respectful, but apparently left no doubt I was not a happy camper. Told him I would wait there at the shop and just replace the seals don’t reassemble. About an hour later he brings my box and explains which bag of parts belongs to which cylinder. No charge. Guess the 1 wasn’t done either. I had taken them in all broke down.

Made Sophie a nice early surf and turf dinner after I got home. Then put my cylinders back together and installed on tractor. Other than a persistent leak at the check valve that I found an O ring to fix, it went well.

So today I should be back to mowing.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

good afternoon, 50 going to 52 feels good in the sun

Went down to Harpers Ferry and toured around a bit. Lots of people were out and enjoying the day. Also drove along the bank of the Potomac River. Nice drive

Cut back some vines in the garden that were obstructing the view of the flowers coming out all over. All the bulbs that wife had me plant are in the process of flowering and the ones planted a few years ago are spreading. Planted back then with the drill and small auger but soon realized how slow that is when she bought hundreds to plant.
Brought out the excavator and scraped the dirt down to the right hight, placed the bulbs and filled the top soil back over and done

The news reports Boeing is the winner for the Next Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) aircraft. Currently called the F-47, the (6th generation) new aircraft design was developed in part through the DARPA (Defense Advances Research Projects Agency) X-plane design experimental aircraft flying the last several years.
Of course faster, stealthier and longer range are among the goals. What does it look like ? Unknown what the final design will look like, but one artist rendering:

Hope all have a great day.
F47 will probably be a good plane IF they can keep the doors on it.

David, I absolutely hate unreliable people.

Good Afternoon David,

I really agree with Bill on that score. When someone tells you the part will be ready at a certain time and you roll into their shop 1 1:2 hours later and it’s not ready 😒
Frustrating at best 😉

That would be twice you dealt with him? The first and last time?

Good Morning.
Today started at 31°, it’s 47 breezy and clear.

Last few days have been busy, helped a neighbor with an electrical project amongst other things.

Has to locate the conduit with his fiber optic FIOS line. Tbe yellow paint marks were where the locator said it was.
It’s a 30 year old Metro Tech that apparently still works fine.

We used a vibratory plow to pull 300’ of conduit to his pond, sneaking it under the FIOS line.

After some digging, I found a spool of pull rope long enough in the shop. Now I have to find the Greenlee puller. Pretty sure that I know who borrowed it last.

More pork belly cheeseburgers as my reward at the end of the day.

Today I took my mechanical contractor buddy up to Lake Wallenpaupack to look at a job. Good day for the little plane to stretch its legs.

Now I’m off to deliver some pork belly to a shut in.
That should pretty much kill today. Still haven’t made the pad for the shed, I might have to postpone the delivery if it rains as forecast tomorrow.

Good (Monday) morning. Overnight Low of 11.7C and it's presently 21.5C, clear & calm.

Pretty much going to do some 'prep work' regarding a task/subject that is avoided here on the GM thread. Aus has a Federal election coming up 'sometime' in mid-May and I've got some candidate signs to erect.

My sympathy to L4N and other Canadians as I found out that your new PM has just called a 'snap' election.

Tomorrow will be over to the Church early (0800) to meet with an electrician regarding some security/safety lighting.

That's about it, take care all.
