Good morning!!!!

   / Good morning!!!! #204,871
made a date in May to tow my Gravely garden tractor up to Arkville NY to its forever home in the mountains.
towing a one ton trailer will be like nothing is back there but I will keep it at 65 anyway.
my problem is the air dam on the Expedition. It is enormous and very low.
only about five inches of clearance and that means it will get busted going up the road to the mountain cabin.
so the air dam has to go. Should make no difference around town, just on highway, and if I'm towing, my mpg is low anyway.
other models have much higher air dams so I don't think it will affect cooling.
Even Ford says take it off while offroading.
8 bolts. How hard can that be? ;)

This Saturday my 14yo family helper will be working at my place, and one of our jobs is the final cleanup of the Gravely.
old friend, had it more than 20 years.
I'll be staying at a B&B in Arkville while there; I'm too old to sleep on those uncomfortable beds any more and I really
prefer my own privacy. Plus I get up too early and go to bed too early for this crowd. I booked a first floor room with a private
entrance, that should work nicely. Catskill Mountains are very pretty. One more trip out route 28 seeing half a dozen signs for the
Esopus River as it winds along this road, finally ending up in the NYC reservoir system.

finished up day by making high level decision on moving stuff around in back yard and having a nicer outdoor seating area.
So I ordered a combo set of four chairs and a propane fire pit in the middle. That will go where utility trailer is parked now and trailer will be parked
back behind garage. I don't use it often anyway. Risky buying from Amazon but price was less than half of Costco choices. Chairs are one piece rattan so
will be a lot of big boxes showing up one day.

lastly researched paver stones since without gutters rain on new garden shed is digging into fresh soil below.
I need 12 linear feet of pavers, found some interesting ones made of/looks like river rock held together by small ropes at Home Depot.
I might use up a bag of leftover paver sand in between the rocks.
so tomorrow in the rain will drive over to Flemington NJ, only 20 minutes away and pick up some of these:

Don, nice of you to wait and make someone happy. No one was in a rush anyway and probably enjoyed
just sitting down. Do you have a running commentary? On your left you will see...
No running commentary like before when it was pre-recorded, I just give a pre ride description of what we will be driving through.

From stop 1 to 2: "On the left is the baby animals feeding area and behind that is the strawberry patch which will be ready to pick your own in two weeks which coincides with the easteregg hunts. On the right are the one year Christmas trees and behind me are the 4 1/2 year trees which will be ready to cut your own this December. The empty rows we will pass will be planted with this years Christmas trees which will be ready in 2030. The field with the red Dutch windmill was the tulip field but they plowed all 200,000 of them under and Friday they planted sunflowers for the sunflower festival this summer. After the sunflower festival drought tolerant African grass will be planted for the maze for the Fall festival.

From stop 2 to 1: "As you notice the grill building is on 15' piers and the barns are all on hills. The pizza beer building is actually a trailer just like the one you are sitting in. This is because the San Gabriel River is just on the other side of those trees and we are in the flood plain. The San Gabriel river consist of the North fork and the South fork they join in the city park in Georgetown and continue behind the Farm to lake Granger. The North fork ends up in lake Georgetown before the park but springs along the river keep it flowing most of the year. We will be going between the neighbors newly planted corn field, If you look close you will see little 2" corn plants and our Christmas tree fields which are 1 to 4 1/2 yers old. If you can count the rows and the trees on the rows as we drive past you will count 10,000 Christmas trees. The trees are Cypress trees and all have to be irrigated during the summer and trimed in the winter."

typical questions 1. Are you the owner?
2. How many acres is the farm?
3. Can we bring the stroller on the trailer?

No, 77, Yes

I also peeled my rv state map off the interior wall, ever so carefully and will find a place for that
in my office
glad you still have your Texas pin. I got it for you at the cotton gin museum store in Burton Texas.
We have three of them. Wife and daughter needed them because of their back surgeries.

I got one because the wife demanded a matching living room set and because I am exhausted all the time.

We have battery backups on all, they seem to be trouble free so far. They are comfortable for sure. A little pricey....but then again, they passed the back tests.

We bought a pair for Myla's parents through Costco, but I can't remember whether they were Lazy Boy brand. They worked great and never had a problem.

Wife got one from Golden Technologies that she likes. It lifts, reclines, inclines seat, raises foot rest and tilts to make it easier to get up and battery backed up as well
Thanks for all the recliner reviews. Ron too.

So our local furniture dealer is not so big. They told me that they gave up lazy boy due to the raised threshold of units they would have to buy to get the discount they were accustomed to.
So we got my mom a nice Flex Steel brand, which is supposed to be a good Made in USA brand. It was not cheap. It is a nice blue leather electric recliner with only 2 buttons. 1 for raising legs and reclining back, the other for going back to straight up.
Thanks for all the BD wishes. i do believe she had enjoyable day.
Happy Sophie birthday day!

Son turned 15 last week. Now he can get his learner's permit.

We went to the outdoor/in person hunter's safety education on Saturday to get his permit.
He outscored me on the test....he made a 100, I made a 98. (one question had 2 possible answers...that's my story and I'm sticking to it).

Good morning,
26° now, cloudy with rain and snow (coating to 1”) this morning changing to all rain for the afternoon. High around 39°. Winds ESE at 5-10 mph.

Quiet day again yesterday just puttered around, neighbor wandered by late afternoon with a couple of beers so I reciprocated and we managed to solve most of the world’s problems in short order. Don’t know why the nitwits in Washington do the same.

Groceries and a bunch of errands this morning the rest of the day as it comes.

Enjoy your day everyone
Stay safe and healthy
