Kioti CK25
I recently purchased a 2007 Kioti CK25 and thought everything was good on it. After using it some, i found that the loader did not seem to have the lift capacity it should, and wouldn’t lift a full bucket of dirt.

I hooked a 5000psi gauge to one of the quick connects for the loader and am getting around 500psi at idle and 1000psi max at operating RPM. The manual states the pressure should be set to ~2500psi. I then tried adjusting the pressure relief valve but it did not raise the pressure at all so i set it back where i started.

Does this sound more like a bad PRV or a bad pump? Tractor has 640 hours on it.

It could be either. Rule out the RV first. I assume your oil quantity and condition is OK.

You can take apart the implement pump RV, unlike the 2 main HST RVs, which are welded. I have seen where some dirt gets into the RV and it leaks internally. Hope it is that.

So I took apart and cleaned the RV this morning, which raised the pressure to 1300-1500psi. So it did seem to help.
However, the poppet(?) seemed to have uneven wear on the cone where it would seat in the valve which makes me think it could be leaking by.

Interesting. Can you post photos of the RV, esp its guts?

Your tractor is an M27 and should be the same as mine, except for the engine, and possibly the trans.

Dunno what a new RV costs. Some of Kioti's prices are nuts.

I was able to track down a new PRV for less than $100 that should be here Monday. I will post an update once I try the new valve.
I assume if that does not fix the issue, it is more than likely the hydraulic pump, correct?
Is it common for a hydraulic pump to die out after 650 hours?

No it is not common for a pump to die at that low hours but anything is possible. Is the pump exposed where you can see and touch it? If yes start with ambient temperature system and then operate a function till it dead heads like when testing for pressure and hold it there for a minute or two. If possible check temperature of pump housing while doing this. If pump gets significantly hotter than inlet line the pump is leaking internally if not your pump most likely is not the problem. You can perform same heat test on the relief if you have access to the tank line. If relief is bypassing the tank line should heat up while testing.

Good suggestions.

Both RV and pump are quite accessible. My experience is that if the RV is bypassing, you can also feel it vibrate while it is doing so.

So got the new PRV in today, and put it on. It made no difference.
Still Sitting around 1200psi.
I am thinking I've got a bad pump.

Your RV is just like mine, accessible under right floor board. You can operate your FEL with your hand on the RV. It will vibrate if activated.

As you say, you prob have a bad pump, with worn out body, or damaged seals. You have either the Cassappa or Joyang, if it is like mine. I could not buy the seal kit for the Joyang.

If you buy a new pump, try Kioti, Bobcat, and the pump manufacturer, if you can.

You don’t have any experience with the eBay pumps in the ~$300 range do you? It’s looking like over $1k for a Kioti pump but eBay has a few listed for ck25 for under 300.
