TODAYS SEAT TIME

Spent the weekend at a friends place taking down trees. Put a few hours on my CX with my Woodland Mills chipper taking care of the brush.

1st mowing of the season today. Needed to get after the ragweed aka golden rod in the lower field before it went full bloom and reseeds. The Bestco 7' flail did a nice job. Felt good to get back in the saddle again :D
Nice scootr . . . (y)

(y) I see you have a box blade - you will love the new top link !

Yup. I usually have it on the back most of the time, but it’s at the back end of the property with my trailer currently and it’s mud season. I already tore up the field some a few weeks ago because I needed to get the trailer out to take the T25 for the first 50 hour service. I cleaned it up a bit back dragging the bucket, but need fix it with the box blade. Also want to carve out a driveway this year that’s at the other end of this pic so I’m not having to drive so far where I’m planning to build.

400 mile round trip to northern Michigan today to help a friend start cleaning up after the devastating ice storm they had a couple weeks ago. Most of the area is still without power after 12 days and not likely to get it back for some time. I’ve never seen anything like it. 6 hours on the chipper and barely put a dent in the mess, pics just don’t do it justice.

I put my small Howard Rotovator on the new tractor,

as it was time to till in all the hay, grass, leaves and woodstove ashes that were put in this garden since last fall,

As I get used to this tractor I like it more and more.

This evening I got 2" very hard rain in 45 minutes. My bottom field could be an ice rink if it freezes.
First on my agenda in the morning is attaching my yard box and pulling my driveway stone back up the hill. The creek should be back within the banks by then. That's always fun, cleaning up that bottom hay field after it floods.
