Now this machine became a YanDeere out of necessity. Why would that be? Early 1977-ish to about 1981-ish, Yanmars were a Tree Frog green color before going apple red. JD green is easy to find in all the farm stores and with the old Yanmar lime green, there shouldn't be any real bleed thru like red would do.

The owner must have gotten a deal on the paint as the rims were painted the same JD green too. :alien: The paint job turned out really well.

And this owner is a member of TBN too!

I have seen this photo before and I must say, its one sexy 155d. Wish my 155 had a loader and set up like this.

OK, I was a bit envious someone has a YM2610 as a Yandeere.

I did some photo-shopping of my machine, :ROFLMAO:

The best I could get was Tree Frog green like the early Yanmars.

Close but not quite. I think this color is what they meant by 'Tree Frog Green'.

My photos, 2003 when I bought the YM240. Everything's a little more weathered now!

Some old eBay pix. I assume original paint.

And finally a faded 45 year old Yanmar brochure.

Were there two different Yanmar greens? I thought the early YM2000's (external headlights) were this color too.

From what I have seen, there are two Tree Frog green colors. The lite and dark versions.
The really early were dark versions. The Gray Market machines are darker vs the lite domestic sold machines from what I could tell.

Dark,

I spy a YanDeere in eastern EU,

YM1500 work horse. Notice the odd looking exhaust box. It is strange.

It was red, repainted Deere green. LOL

That's impressive on farm fabrication ingenuity, from the car tire to the blades to the counterweight. I bet that tractor has stories to tell.

Belarus? Ukraine?

All the best,

Peter

Fer sure!

It illustrates Yanmar's fundamental reliability with engine and drivetrain outlasting all of the normal replaceables. The tires all mismatched, the seat, even the muffler and steering wheel are replacements. I wonder about the air cleaner, a cube where there should be a round filter. And that tractor was likely retired and exported after a first life in Japan long ago.

This could never pull that 2-bottom plow. I wonder if it is outfitted for pushing snow around.
