I own a Walker riding mower made in 2000. The tires finally gave up over the winter due to cracking. I couldn't read the tire size on the tire so I checked my owner's manual. It called for 18x9.5-10 tires so I bought a pair. It turns out, the rims on the mower were actually 10.5 so I had to take the tires back and ordered some online. The rims also had spacers behind them so I assume someone swapped the rims out at some point before I bought it. Man my grass is long now 😆

A good rim clamp tire machine would have put those 10's on a 10.5" rim. Might be a little bumpy at first, and don't put too much air in them, but that's why you measure twice.

Sorry, I was mistaken, the tires listed in the manual were actually for 8" rims (18x9.5-8) The tires on the mower were 18x10.5-10

I just learned that the last number was the rim size, I thought it was the 2nd number.

The tires arrived today and my local shop is swapping them out in the morning.
