The issue of handling thermal paper has been known for years and is a real problem but no one reports on it.

Enter "thermal paper hazard" into any search engine. It is a real problem.

I cringe when I see people putting their receipts in their mouth to free up their hands while they walk to the exit of their favorite big box store.

I don't like the prospect of every transaction being logged somewhere

Tell me about it. I once used my card at a convenience store. The next thing I knew, I was in their email list. The only way they could have gotten that is from my CC provider. I went in and complained to the manager, and also got rid of the card.

I usually buy the small double patty cheeseburger deal at McDonald's and get another for one dollar. I live alone and often buy six or eight burgers that way. Two to three burgers make a meal.

I don't think they're as tasty when reheated but haven't noticed them being soggy. I put one on a plate for 40 to 50 seconds and set the microwave on 4. If meat is reheated too hot it ruins the taste imho.
