They barely move since I had them filled with beet juice.
Your opinion and for your use probably an accurate comment but for others, maybe not. Not everyone (me) wants a hydrostat. Hydrostats are inherently inefficient, have a lot of power loss and are complex and require expensive repairs if they fail. In my situation, a hydraulic shuttle and gear drive transmission is a much more efficient transmission of power and the hydraulically actualted wet clutch in the main transmission is not only much more efficient in power transmission but for loader work for me, it's ideal because of the instant forward and reverse motion activation as well as the hydraulic modulation of the wet pack itself. Hydraulic modulation if the wet pack means no abrupt direction changes (lock up is predicated entirely on loading, plus it's extremely long lasting and don't requite the complexity of an HST unit.I feel hydrostat is the way to go for loader work. I only have power shuttle to compare it to, but I would take hydrostat over the power shuttle.
What a hydraulic shuttle is for. Read up on them. Flick of the left hand. Same as a Deere Power ReverserIs it really possible to use one for backing up and going forward hundreds of times a day without losing your mind?
HST allows you to infinitely control ground speed without changing engine RPMs. Something that’s really nice for pto work such as cutting or tilling.Maybe you're the wrong guy to ask, but if a shuttle is easy to use, what is the purpose of HST?
