You Know You Are Old When

Smokers are the ones I often notice appear older than chronological age…
Yes. I see a lot of older women with the telltale wrinkled lips, and older men with the yellow triangle on their front teeth, and all of them have a kind of tint to the skin.

Now me... I never smoked. I'm just bald and overweight. :ROFLMAO:

Autobahn in Mercedes rental 230 kmh… didn’t seem fast until over 200 but slowing down is when reality hit.

230kmh is about 153 mph.
One thing my wife and I notice quit often on our long drives is that once you get up to highway speeds and stay there for a long time, you get used to it. They you come into metro areas, the speed limit drops to, say, 50, and you feel like you're crawling.
We're
going
so
slooooow
:ROFLMAO:

Another thing I do is look for wooly bears crossing the road. Why? I don't know. Just a habit. I can pick them out at 75mph. So can my wife and kids. One of my kids was driving with her boyfriend (now husband) and told him to stop hitting the wooly bears. He had no idea what she was talking about. So she showed him. Now he can see them too. :p

I really liked the old car chase movies.
Dirty Mary Crazy Larry, Vanishing Point...
Sometimes driving around I imagine I'm in a car chase as I approach an intersection.
There is so much traffic around now that I would surely be wrecked by the 2nd or 3rd stop I blew.
My stretch of highway is aboot as straight as you're going to get. Limited gentle bends.
And rarely much traffic.
Even so it's always a risk.
We can always use the roundabouts as a skid pad. :ROFLMAO:

Bald by the grace of God. Overweight by choice.
I had long dense wavey hair. Often long enough to tie it under my chin. My barber when I did see him said I'd never go bald.
I had a high school sweety that loved brushing it like a giant barbie head. Was I going to argue?
Then I hit 40 and it thinned. 50 was the death knell for a full head so I shaved.
I like it. Wash and dry in no time. No more hair dryers and combing etc.
Biggest issue is remembering to keep the hat off enough to maintain an even tan.
I've put on some weight also, but hey, there's too much good eats out there.
If it does knock a few years off the end, those are the old cranky, everything hurts pain in the ass years.
Not worth missing lasagna, ice cream, BACON, gin and tonic, chicken wings, BBQ and all the other good things for.

:ROFLMAO: I know!

I knew I'd be bald from an early age, as my grandpas and my dad were all bald, and I looked just like them. Heck, even my mom had thin hair. So I just accepted it as it's gonna happen. When it started thinning out in mid 20's I knew it was time to ask my girlfriend to get married so we'd have some wedding pictures while I still had hair. :p That will be 40 years this September. 46 if you count the time we dated.
