Good morning!!!!

Morning all, 70 going to 82 and fog.
Finally dry enough yesterday evening to take the jd deck off again and finish greasing everything.
Looks like most of the areas had some grease.
Now takes me 10 min to get the deck off, and about the same to get it back on.
Cleaned bottom of deck a bit, not in bad shape.
Today, it's haircut time after the day job.

Buppies - time to call Dr.s nurse and ask for help, praying things get better.

Back to the day job,

Be well,

Fedex didn't just drive over the light, they went forward and pushed it all the way into the ground.
Time to buy a few more.

am hoping by noon grass will have dried out enough to mow
mow when too wet and usually just makes a mess and then you have to scrape the deck again.
which makes its own mess
Normally I mow to the center, throwing cut material back on the to be cut grass. Only an issue if grass very heavy.

blowing grass onto public road in my opinion is bad news, and dangerous for bicyclists and motorcycles.
Besides...shouldn't be aiming your mower at passing cars anyway. I have to mow right up to the roadway and even with my blinking led
lights on, I lean way over to the right to avoid any passing truck mirrors. Boy would I lose. I really should put out a couple of cones.

I saw a commercial crew out yesterday mowing away in light rain, guess once they get unloaded, they are going to finish it.

I pick one (1) job/day and do that, IF I feel like it. I have all the 'gotta do' jobs done in preparation for next winter, except for one that gets done in the fall. Now for the optional ones.
That's become my procedure also. Seems almost every day something comes up to disrupt.

on this day a few years back I was cleaning up the potato patch after the potatoes had been harvested first week in June.

Burgundy okra coming in, that plant likes the heat, eventually grew 12 feet tall, locals loved it, had only seen green okra.
I also grew orange okra, very pretty.

The good news is we all still friends and talking nice. The owner friend is an engineer. Does not like deviation from his plan until he accepts it’s not working. That would have been about first 25%.
He’s happy with results.
Need to get back mowing, but having some morning rain.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day.

good afternoon, not raining is a good thing although it stormed most of the night and Cody was not happy. Got almost 2 inches

Worked on the kitchen clean up and then moved on to change the transmission oil filters on the RTV. Picture shows what 90 dollars of filters look like. Then moved on to finish greasing. Turns out lifting the RTV a little rotates the suspension so the LockNlube coupling snaps on the grease fitting very easily.

Worked on setting up the grouting for the sill beam by screwing in a rail and making a paddle that can follow it to level it out. Also found some flat rocks to fill up a low spot

87F, humid (ugh) and partly cloudy @ 12:30, was only calling for a high of 84F today so we've beaten that already.

Shower rolled through earlier with a brief, heavy downpour. Calling for thunderstorms later this afternoon.

Got another 6 gallons of glyphosate premix made up last evening and both sprayers reloaded.

Tried to pick off another juvenile groundhog last evening as well but they've gotten cautious and are easily spooked.

No squash/pumpkin seeds in the greenhouse have sprouted as of a couple minutes ago.

Tube feeders need refilled.

Got the pipe flange put back Nest Box No. 5 last night so it's ready to go up. May try to get that done today if I can locate the pole and baffle.

Probably try and get a few winter squash/pumpkins in the ground if the rain holds off long enough.

Beyond that not sure what else will be on the agenda.

Hope everyone is having a decent Wednesday.

David, nice helping the neighbor.
Drew, glad you got mowing in. Still wet here, and storm coming now.
Did get 6 final bolts in the deck headers, so I can officially say, "It ain't going no where"
started by putting black weed block down where I had to walk, to not get too muddy.
By time I got those 6 bolts in, was drenched in sweat. Sun was out then.
Been thundering, radar shows rain, but not wet yet. Will the storm make it here, or will it evaporate before getting here.
Wife is in town, where it is storming according to radar.
Son is supposed to take off early, but lots of storms down where he is.

It cooled off to 79deg from 85, but only a few drops of rain. The storm seems to have vanished before getting here, although lots of wind right now.

they say storm will hit here late afternoon.
needed a little more exercise so i washed my car.
can't just squirt it off any more using my well water, this messed up the paint on prior Volvo.
So now I wash half the car, dry it off and then other half.

it was getting pretty warm out. Weather station said 100 which it wasn't, unless that was the heat index.

changed juice in the hummingbird feeders, just not having much luck having them stick around.

time to chill

Got west side of the arched trellis weeded before the raindrops started to fall.

Going to plant the smaller winter squash and maybe some pumpkins there.

Had to hurry in, Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued.

Just finished with a frog strangler.

That dropped the temp by about 10 degrees.

Looks like the sun is trying to come back out.

Squeak curled up on my lap giving herself a bath.

Good Morning,
Ct,62 to start going to 77. It’s pouring at the moment, but it’s supposed to clear out later this morning. I was going to go in and work a half day cleaning and waxing the Peterbuilt. But looks like I will have to go in later or not at all.
Wait a darn cotton picking minute! Weren't you on morphine yesterday or day before???

Everyone puts their pants on 1 leg at a time. Except those of us who have been there done that. :)

I need to buy some tractor tires. Notice anything funny about this Wallyworld webpage? I Need 2 new front tires and rims for our bigger tractor. We made the mistake of letting the dealer load them with water. Rims rusted out badly and messed up the beads. Anyway, originals are 23 years old and are full of micro cracks on the exterior sidewalls. Guess I can't complain too much. Also looking for rims. Nobody aftermarket has them painted in Deere yellow. Can get silver for about $250 ish. Deere p/n is $750ish. OUCH. Even dealer knows that's stupid. So the moral to that story is, YELLOW PAINT IS EXPENSIVE TOO. LOL.

Hauled one dump cart load of debris from garden up to compost pile.

Noticed 2 juvenile groundhogs out back when I got back to the house.

Was able to get them both … but it required two shots.

Mortally wounded the first one, second one which was closer to the house froze.

Big mistake on its part as that enabled me to get the second shot off.

Hauled those up to the lot for buzzards, one of which was already circling when I drove up.

Stopped by the shop and got 3 short t posts coated with phosphoric acid to kill the rust before I repaint them. The 4th post has already been repainted and is ready to go.

Getting those done will allow me to get the 3rd cattle panel put up for the arched trellis.

Weather babe on now breathlessly describing a possible tornado that just tracked through Cuyahoga Falls heading down towards Atwater.

Waiting on The Woman to get home so we can head out for dinner.
