I would like one room with a big tube amp driving large Wharfdales, and another room with McIntosh driving Magnepans, and anotherroom with ...........

In the long stream of audiophile gear I had before came to my senses, my living room was consumed with triamped magnaplanars, driven by McIntosh amps with a Crown DC300 driving an 18” subwoofer in a transmission line enclosure of my design. Crossover functions were handled by Audio Research electronic crossover.
My living room in the old folks home has no speakers or electronics visible, it’s all built into the walls and ceiling, except for Paradigm subwoofer nestled in a corner under a table.

My Toyotas have the JBL audio system option, and don’t need any upgrades in my opinion. The neutral setting on the EQ is far from flat, but was easily adjusted to my liking.

The Lexus I got from Drew’s neighbor has the standard system, and sounds good as well, that’s why I was surprised that the one in his Lexus doesn’t meet his expectations.

Good Morning
64° and overcast, big change from the last few days. High of 70 and no rain, but continued overcast.

Yesterday was steady, but slow moving. Did some mowing with the Lazer, unpacked and looked over the cheap mini split heatpump from Amazon that I’m going to install in the she shed for my wife.
It actually looks pretty good for $399, including the line set and WIFI. The lines are not pre charged, but that’s my preference anyway. I can route them cleanly and cut them to size before pressure testing and evacuating them.
I only got the box with the outdoor unit, hopefully the second box will arrive today.

I got to try out the wireless RV rear camera I got to put on the forks on the tractor. It is impossible to see the forks from the cab.

That shed is getting painted today, I needed to move the diesel tank away from it.

Today is another work day, I’m off to Florida again, this is almost like having a job. I think I might have one trip to Maine next week, and then back to my usual schedule.

PopG I liked music growing up decided what I liked and went that direction kinda like fast cars someone out there always has one faster so I quit that race. Music is very personal I got what I liked and could afford and was happy. My music tastes changed when Holly came along I like music all the time she does not. Driving a Ram 4500 with no radio helped a lot. Now the TV with ceiling and wall installed speakers are good enough. I do not hear as well as I used to. Speakers can reproduce sounds we cannot hear dog yes humans no. I still like the good stuff but only what pleases my ear. I guess I’m getting old

82F and sunny @ 11:00, calling for a high of 87F. DP 74F, HU 75%, HI 86F.

Area of showers/thunderstorms off to the west, tracking northeast. Probably an hour out. Unclear if they will clip us or just miss us.

Given given the amount of moisture in the air and the daytime heating they could further develop into something bigger.

Heavy rain never materialized yesterday, just a light steady shower. Nearby LWS reports they got 0.35", doubtful if we got that much.

Made Hamburger Helper and had a bowl for dinner along with a couple of Lynchburg Lemonades on ice.

Worked on sorting out and organizing unused plant labels so they can be put away, also made up some new ones for items that need planted.

Agenda for today:

Get some squash/pumpkins put in the ground.

Maybe get that okra planted as well.

High likelihood that either of those will get interrupted by incoming storms at some point.

Other than that see what else comes up.

Hope everyone is having a decent TGIF.

Just some drips and drops at this point … looks like the first round of showers will pass us by.

One of the Straight 8 cukes tied up onto the arched trellis.

Got 8’ of the soil next to the pole bean trellis cultivated.

2 Waltham Butternuts put in the ground.

All the summer squash uncaged.

We have our first Straight Yellow squash … it’s about 1 1/2” long.

not an overly successful morning but got four big red sweet peppers stuffed with a meatloaf mix I made,
too much as usual so another meat loaf by itself is currently baking.
Also got the remainder of the rv washed and spruced up.

but my main objective was foiled by I guess my lack of hand strength plus currently my right arm and hand
are not doing well. I used their special plastic pry thingee and got part of the car dash grill up but the rest held on for dear life.
not wanting to hear the dreaded snap, and unable to hold pressure with my right hand, I decided to quit before I broke something.
Since I can now pay full freight in green beans, going to need to utilize my local talent

so when that didn't work, used 303 protectant all around the car, then all around the rv, including tires, then I got to washing.
that's enough for today

I bet those stuffed peppers are going to be yummy. Corn, mushrooms, black beans, lots of veggies added to
lighten it up plus remainder of Pepperidge Farm turkey stuffing I had. I grew up on that in meat loafs and simply my go to.
I need to get out of my rut and do a pineapple meat loaf or something strange.

Camped out in WV tonight, and by camped out, meaning a hotel with AC.
Little weekend get away, for 70th Bday party for a friend along the greenbrier river.
On and off rain storms, nothing bad. Met up with friends for supper.
Visited an old store that has a working cash register built in 1910.
Ate at 2 different mom and pop restaurants today. Had huge slice of meatloaf, mashed potatoes and green beans for supper. Slice of blackberry pie.
