I went to Dixie Horse and Mule close to Dothan, Al he had a new 2025 Cab model for $37,000 with Hydrostat $36,000 shuttle I wanted to add hydraulic top link add $350 and 3rd function $1000 no sales tax as I am not in Alabama says it has lifetime warranty on drivetrain and standard factory warranties apply, how much trouble has anyone had first 2 years like a/c etc Closest dealer is Tallahassee, Fl and that's over a hour away..
I also have the option to buy a used from private seller just have to drive 10 hrs round trip to get it, he says shuttle shift only way to go, of course since that's what he's selling, 2024 T574 Cab shuttle shift with 43 hours on it for $29,000 past 2 year warranty but still has engine-drivetrain till 2029 must have bought it in 2023 he added hydraulic top link but nothing else, does have a seed spreader which I would never use. No warranty on a/c etc as 2 years is up.. All have loader One thing I feel like is important especially with cab is lever in back for 3 point control.
A little over $8000 difference with New 2025 Hydrostat or $7000 going with new shuttle shift a lot of $$ difference
I am 75 and don't want to buy a problem so what do you guys think, asked about lifetime warranty said its honored everywhere not sure about that, I've been around the block so many times I can't find my way back home LOL but at least I'm still walking
Would really like a Kubota but $$$$$$$ more

Thanks in advance Tom in SW Georgia

I've got the ROPS version. About 80 hours on it. Not a lick of trouble.

I'd ignore the 'years'. Impossible to have a '24 he bought in '23 because it goes my manufacture date, not model year like a car.

I'm hesitant to buy used equipment unless I really know the seller well.

Iirc, the warranty is 6 years on drive train. (Maybe they changed it in the past 2 years).

I have a Branson 5520CH, which I think is the same tractor you are looking at. I have over 800 trouble free hours on mine. The Hydro is nice if you are doing a lot of loader work going forward/reverse constantly, otherwise it is a bit of a pain. I hate the hydro whine, but it makes it so my wife can use it.

Since you asked about the AC, my biggest complaint about the tractor is the AC design. It works great, but I can't get more than 5-6 hours of running time before the AC radiator clogs up and has to be blown out. This is a real pain because some of my fields are a long way from an air compressor. The cab is like a sauna when the AC quits. You don't say what you are going to do with it, but with the short wheelbase it is a little tippy, but I think that is common with all of this class of tractors. I am fortunate enough to have a couple of other tractors and it is the last choice to put out hay, especially if it is muddy.

Overall I like the tractor and would buy it again. I would question why someone is selling a sub 50 hour tractor though and wouldn't buy it without a thorough inspection. From reading through these forums if these tractors are going to have a problem they are going to have them early. You might be buying someone else's problem buying used.

I'd go new, and if I was going used I would avoid a machine with that low hours. 100-200 hours says I'm done with my project, 49 says I regret my purchase.
Well put.
I'd also go new, nice to be able to go back to the dealer with complaints, can't do that with a private sale. No complaints with my T654, 180 hours.

$7000 buys a lot of implements.

Low hour units don't scare me, especially in this sector. These units are luxuries, like a 10 year old Harley with 1500 miles.

After three years I have about 50 hours on mine. I bought it to do a job, and it does it, just not that often.

It's usually pretty easy to tell how someone cared for a machine. With low hours, it should be showroom new. If not, I'd walk.

I mean with that few hours, they haven't even missed a service. With a 200 hour unit, they could be 150 hours overdue for the first service
