Looking at the two tractors above to spread lime and litter and occasionally pull the square baler if the loader tractors are tied up with other things. Both are enclosed cab, 2nd, no loader. MF is a Dynashift with 3300 hrs and looks to be in very good shape, I just don’t know much about them. The JD is a Power Shift with 3800 hrs and I know more about it ,as we run all JD right now, but it doesn’t seem to have been babied as much as the MF and isn’t in as good of shape cosmetically. I guess I’m asking for more info on the MF and yalls thoughts between the two. I know the MF is a little bigger tractor as well, just give me thoughts and opinions please

When you try the MF for size, put the seat to max height, and test for head clearance. This model had a lowish ceiling due to the roof mounted ac. I am tall so have to duck or get a sore neck.
The other thing is the forward reverse shuttle. You can operate the power shift by tapping up to increase speed and down to downshift. Very useful on bale stacking, as you can operate the loader and power shift at the same time.
Con: shuttle shift, when in reverse the up/down powershift pattern is reversed. ie to upshift you tap down, and to downshift, you tap the shuttle up, the complete opposite to froward gear.
Make sure you test the forward/reverse AND use the powershift to find out what I mean. It is hard to explain much easier to experiance.

My main experience was on loading hay and silagew bales on trucks ,clearing paddocks to sheds and raking hay and silage and some mowing. I found the MF to be a solid reliable workhorse.
In bird season you just removed the side panels to discourage the birds from nesting on the engine.
I have not used the JD 6605, so can't comment.

Thanks for your reply. You gave exactly what I am looking for, which is more info on the MF. I know a decent amount about the JD but not the MF and wanted to make sure they were solid tractors before taking the time to go look at it
