Same here. Even half standing up in the cab, I can't see the hitch over the hood to line it up for hitching.

It's "on" the ball now.

I even tried a flipped over drop hitch, which helps a little bit, but still almost impossible to line up without getting out first.

I guess that's the advantage of having a small tractor. I can see the hitch on mine easily. 😁

I have a wireless camera setup in my Branson that works fairly well.
There is no way I can even start to see the forks from the seat,
the camera has it's own battery power supply.

I need that. Any recommendation on brand and model would be appreciated, even if it's just knowing ones to avoid.

That one is a Tadibrothers setup with a large monitor, and the battery pak for the wireless camera. The screen along with the magnetic mounted camera and magnetic battery pak are very handy and work well. I had an issue a while back with a battery pack that failed and their customer service and so called warranty P.O'd me so much I have resorted to trying different ones.

I got this one this spring to use as a backup camera on my trailer and while it's not quite the resolution of the much more expensive unit it seems to work well the few times I've used it. Normally I back the trailer around just using mirrors but occasionally it is very handy to see behind it in tight spots.

I have a similar unit;
I very seldom use it, and I quickly found out that I needed to use my camera when trying to hook up to it.

It wouldn't help on yours, but on the more open style like mine, I find it's helpful to raise the loader up, then tilt the hitch forward. That way, I can look through the framing and see the hitch ball to line up. Once under the hitch, just raise the loader and curl back.

I have a 2" receiver welded to the inside top of of my FEL. Works great, and I can see the ball when I hook up a trailer. And the big advantage of the front mounted Hitch is that you have very precise control over the trailer.

I don't use it for towing trailers over any distance at all. Just for removing the trailers around and driving from one property to another less than a mile or so.

I suppose I could weld another receiver to the top of my snow thrower for towing in the winter, but I don't think I would like to use the backhoe to tow something with a ball. Too much risk of damage or tipping.

In the interest of never-ending product improvement, I even made up a slide-on front quick-hitch mirror.

It works, but not worth the effort to install/remove.

Great minds think alike? I did the same for my pallet forks. And like you, found it works great, but would require a pretty big job of moving a lot of pallets to make up for the time lost in setting it up and re-adjusting the mirror positions.
