Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Saw this, great news. Reducing gas can flow to a pathetic dribble helped nobody.

So wait. They are only directing the manufacturers to specifically add vents again. So potentially increasing cost a little bit. And you still must have the spring loaded nozzle? ugh

Glad I have all my old cans around still. You can pry them from my cold, dead hands.

More gas gets spilled and vented into the air with these stupid EPA cans than the old ones.
Completely agree. Spilling gas is FAR worse than letting a pittance of it evaporate out of the nozzle over time.

I bought new nozzles, and the threads were too deep. This prevents the lids from sealing against the cans, so diesel pours out. Frustrating.

I found a guy on Youtube who pulls the springs out of the original spouts.

I've not seen one of those "push-in vents" that come with the new nozzles that didn't leak. And half the time the threads on the replacement nozzle don't match my gas cans.
Same here. I will say, the vent seems to leak less over time. I don't know if it's possible the plastic swells when gas hits it or what. Might just be my wishful thinking....

I wonder if going down one size from the recommended drill bit to make the hole would help?
