Saw this, great news. Reducing gas can flow to a pathetic dribble helped nobody.

So wait. They are only directing the manufacturers to specifically add vents again. So potentially increasing cost a little bit. And you still must have the spring loaded nozzle? ugh

Glad I have all my old cans around still. You can pry them from my cold, dead hands.

I bought new nozzles, and the threads were too deep. This prevents the lids from sealing against the cans, so diesel pours out. Frustrating.

I found a guy on Youtube who pulls the springs out of the original spouts.

I've not seen one of those "push-in vents" that come with the new nozzles that didn't leak. And half the time the threads on the replacement nozzle don't match my gas cans.
Same here. I will say, the vent seems to leak less over time. I don't know if it's possible the plastic swells when gas hits it or what. Might just be my wishful thinking....

I wonder if going down one size from the recommended drill bit to make the hole would help?
