Thanks. I see they're out of stock. Must be a popular repair item.
Must be because I ordered what they had left!
Edit: They just called saying they didn't have enough to supply a kit. I said just send what you have and they couldn't.

It's been out of stock for quite some time. I remember looking at that for a cylinder I want to put on my 3PH Blade for swiveling. It was out of stock then too. I didn't want to buy one of the kits (T&T) because I don't need the hoses--They'd be too short.

Why can't a banjo fitting be crimped onto a hose?

I'm fairly sure that one of my BH hoses has a banjo fitting on the end of it ...

Or maybe build a shield over the "crush zone" to protect that area from future catastrophe's?
The Banjo Fittings can be crimped onto a hose. I have fitting sets for 1/4" and 3/8" for 100R2 hose that came with the bolt and washers for each one. I have the crimp sleeves too but I don't like them. I have a line on better ones but they're twice the price. And I don't need them for now.

The Problem is the other end of the hose. 🤷‍♂️

The link that @ptsg gave has the hard tube. The Compression nut and ring would be optional if yours is still good. I think I'll order a couple of spare parts to keep on hand. My tilt cylinder had a similar "accident" before I made room for it. I've ordered from them before.

Edit: I only saw one tube. Make sure it's long enough.

I have a cheap@$$ cylinder as my top link and I see these ones with what I now know is a "double-piloted check valve". Given that my cheap cylinder is leaking a bit (but not a lot yet, and only when it's in use) and it would probably be way less time & effort for me to just replace it completely than fix it (the shame of modern life), can someone explain to me why I should get such a beast? Is it to guarantee that the cylinder basically locks in whatever position you left it in? Because I barely see mine move at all; it'll hold a mower up overnight with barely any movement.

You can get just the check valve instead of an entire new cylinder, but if the current one doesn't leak down at all or enough to annoy you, I wouldn't bother getting a check valve.

Branson did actually use very good valves on the remotes with very little internal leakage. My top link was a repurposed old cylinder, didn't even put new seals in it and it will hold all day long leaking less than 3 or 4 mm.

That's exactly what it does. But it protects from a leak down at the valve, not the cylinder. If the cylinder piston seal is bad, the cylinder just transfers oil from one side of the piston to the other. This is an internal leak down. The check valve does not stop that.

The check valve can also protect from hose ruptures on sudden impacts to an implement. While the burst pressure of new 1/4" hose may be around 20,000psi, it's not for older or tattered hose. And an impact can drive the pressure well over the "working pressure" of 5,000psi for the same hose.

But I got my T&T for the convenience of being able to adjust the 3Ph and Quick Hitch from the seat for various circumstances--Back blade, implement mounting and adjustment, etc. The lock valves came as a bonus.

Putting it away on dash warning said "PTO coil fault". Never happened before & just a 10 minute wash. After idling warning went off & PTO works fine.
I'm trying to figure out what would be that water sensitive?

Reminds me of the old doctor joke.

"I told my doctor that I broke my arm in two places. He told me to stop going to those places."

If you really want to find it vs avoid doing it, just douse small areas until you cause failure again, to find the exact location.

The main problem is I had ROPs down and lifting back blade bent the top link 1/2" O.D. pipe on it (third time I've done that!). Will this Surplus Center kit work?
If I mount link upside down hoses won't reach. Any ideas how to protect/prevent it from happening?

First thought would be to keep the ROP up. If you were going to do that incident #2 & 3 wouldn't have happened though.

I have never seen a live armadillo laying on it's back, probably because they are so vulnerable in that position, what if you just turned your link upside down and put the delicate parts where you can't smash them? Longer hoses once or continued repairs? You might just be able to change straight fittings to 90's or 180's and use the same hoses.
