My two monsters. I use a Sebo vacuum to keep up with them. It's a beast on suction and easily serviced.

Our current GSD loves the vacuum cleaner, and loves being vacuumed. That's a first for us. Most dogs we have had in the past wanted nothing to do with the vacuum, much less the air flow.

All the best, Peter

Shih Tzu's have their issues, but one good thing about them is they do not shed.

Thinking about all the places that need to have hair... I swear we get a Chihuahua and a half, sometimes two, every time we vacuum. Cannot understand why this dog is not bald!

We had a small herd, 7, at one time. Manchester Terror crossed with Chihuahua.
If you petted them against the grain all sorts of fur came out.
Before fine cleaning the floors and couches I'd first go around with the shop vac in all the nooks and crannies. I'd have to blow the filter out every couple uses.
That didn't account for all the fur swept up with the broom.
They've all gone on to the big rodent hunting field in the sky. Your little terrorist looks almost identical to my Lilly.
I miss them everyday.

We've always had Newfies, (double coat). They shed year round and really blow coat in the spring. They get brushed daily and we have a robovac running daily. At least once a week the robovac quits due to the hair buildup. The current rescue Newfie loves to be groomed, (good thing....). He's not a big drooler, something these guys are famous for. We've had Newfies that could get drool on the ceiling with a good head shake.

I've been able to get my GSD with the hose from the shop vac once, where she let me vacuum her. After the first time, she gets up and leaves the room

Some of our indoor crew happened to pose for you guys this morning.

I've been pleased with the Shark LA500WM vac I bought on Black Friday for something like $130. The roller is easy to clean, designed for both carpet and hardwood. The clear debris tank is easy to see when full and easy to dump. It's worth considering, particularly if it goes on sale again this Black Friday.

Our prior dogs were just like yours.

Our current GS follows us around the house when we are vacuuming, begging to be vacuumed all over. Different strokes for different folks...

All the best, Peter
