Just read a report on "clean" Tequila, where additives like sugar, coloring, etc. are eliminated. This is supposed to make it a bit easier on the body (though it is still alcohol with it's unhealthy affects).

That said, -> Any favorite Tequilas?

If you are drinking the Blanco's Casa Dragones is excellent (it should be). It is my favorite by far, I used to have a touch every couple of days before bed. It can be sipped straight, it makes the others seem like gasoline.

Not an expert. Ocho Blanco was real nice. I'm unsure what clean really means here in your description. Made many a drink with Hornitos back in the day. Always needed my tequila to be at least 100% Agave . I don't really know how high that sets the bar though.
Either a good tequila or whiskey is welcomed when you want to warm the chill in your bones when you get to kick back and have a sip.

I read that same article and seen where is said alcohol is a group one carcinogen which also includes asbestos, arsenic, tobacco smoke, and several others. I had always heard alcohol was a carcinogen but didn't realize it was that high up on the scale.

With that said, I love me some tequila but have never really had high-end tequila. I always like the blue agave 1800. I stay away from hard liquor these days, just a dedicated beer drinker.

The 10 dolla' Tequila with the worm was my last (and worst ever) Tequila experience, but that was 50 years ago...so now interested in the good 12 dolla' stuff with no worm!

(Actually, I know great Tequila is way more than $12!!!)

I don't drink much, but I also think the recent villification of alcohol is a false and deliberate effort to make it seem worse than pot.

People have been drinking alcohol for most of human history. Alcohol doesn't explain the increase in cancers and other issues.

Moderation in all things.

Unfortunately Tequila, for me, has a price point for a smooth tasting experience. I found that I have to spend $50 or more.

My favorite is the Anejo tequilas.
