Hockfire Saws got me taken care of with parts on the way. Great guy to deal with! TBN forum members are fortunate to have you guys hanging around to help people like me that needs a little help occasionally. Much appreciated to both of you for your assistance

Scottie is a good dude. Getting 4 more saws delivered from him tomorrow. He says having one of these little saws is like having your own lightsabre!

I was doing some chipping a cleanup around the place this afternoon.
I used the little clown saw to trim some of the branching maple limbs that hang up in the chipper throat (It's a small 3pt chipper/shredder).
Then I got after a couple of very small ugly hemlock that have been bugging me for years.

What I found is, that even with a standard bar and chain, there is way more chain than engine.

Not in a bad way, and I certainly am not disappointed. I won't be putting any long bars on this little rascal though, might spoil the balance! ;-)

I thank you all for the kind words and for the business! It’s a pleasure helping you out.
I set up the last JonCutter I had in stock for my wife. I put the 12” Nano kit on it for her.
I placed another sizable order of these last week so they should be here by mid October. I’ll keep you updated.

What do you think for the XP372 clones?

@CalG I liked the G372xp pro better then the regular ones.

Even though it comes with goofy looking carbon fiber covers.

Comes with walbro carb, meteor piston kits and better china made cylinder.

Squish etc was tighter like oem one.

Half wrap handles sorta weaklings. If running half wrap grab a oem. If full wrap your good to go. They are nice thick and sturdy.

That right there made it worth it.

Once a guy gets a regular one sorted out they are fine.

But if you buy from Scotty he should have it sorted out for ya before you get it. Nice thing about buying from a servicing seller and not just a reseller.

The 372XP has come a long way in the last year with better looking plastics, bolts correctly torqued and good looking cylinders (inside). They are still subject to carb problems and my last couple batches have had real notchy chain adjusters. And that's a new problem. The adjusters have been great in the past. So my normal routine now is I still remove, red loctite and retorque muffler bolts, install Walbro carb and gently work the adjuster back and forth until it's working smooth enough. Sometimes it needs a little more grease. I also drill $ tap the clutch cover hole for a small allen bolt to hold the outer spike on. Sometimes I have to enlarge the hole in the spike so it will line up on the bar studs better. I still give the plastics a quick flash removal treatment but it doesn't take as long as it used to. I'll still spot check cylinder bolts sometimes but 95% have been spot-on here recently. Coil gap and bolts have been good too.
With the addition of the Walbro carburetor I did have to raise the price some. I now sell them for $325 instead of $298. A boost of $27 there is a lot better than than $100+ for a new top end. The stock carbs are still running 50% bad and bad means too lean. Too lean cooks the piston & cylinder. With a 50% bad rate, I feel it's well worth it to just replace all of them and not worry about any.
They are great saws and very popular. Near the top of the list as far as sales numbers for me. The Pro has dropped drastically in price the last 6 months and is now below $400. FT doesn't mention an Italian ignition coil anymore and I suspect that is the reason for the price drop.
