TYM - T474HC My next work partner. [ Problems already! ]

I've owned a lot of tractors. Two TYM made ones. They just don't make things like they use to. The seals on TYM tractors are crap. Probably not real rubber. I have a TYM lm 45 H now. About every seal is leaking. I have a 98 year Kubota L35 and two farmtrac tractors. No seals are leaking. If you own a TYM tractor you need to be a good tractor mechanic and welder and/or have a great dealer close by. That may go for all newer tractors.

It sounds more like a fuel/fuel filter issue rather than hydraulic, possibly even air filter.

These engines can't derate as they have mechanical injection. No electronics at all to control it. Only a very clogged DPF will slow it down and sound awful.

The hydraulic filter collapsing is a fairly known issue on certain tractors that came with that filter.

A collapsed filter would cause the hydraulics to move very slow and on an HST, eventually would stop moving.

I don't think it would cause the engine to stall.

So the collapsed filter was replaced in the full 50 hour service. Still did it when used it at home a day or two later. I’m surprised they don’t have it back to me yet. And even more surprised that they haven’t even contacted me to tell me what is going on. Kicking myself in the ASS for buying it now.

Update: They answered the phone just after noon today. They said the mechanic is not in today, but he has it in the shop and computer system as being worked on. They will call me Monday morning when they get brought up to speed by talking with him.

Owner called me. Turns out he has a technology problem with his communication system. [that texting system to e-mails/messaging] Technology. He had everything cleaned up and then all of a sudden it dumped 75 text messages to him from different people. He called me right up and said they’re figuring it out. He’ll call me Monday or Tuesday whenever they get it done. He has put a very experienced diesel mechanic on troubleshooting it. Fingers crossed.

I said to them when I brought it in that I wondered if it was an electrical issue. I’m no mechanic. One of the reasons I bought new was I didn’t want to be working on my tractor.

In today's world, ANY brand can give problems, even when buying new.

I'm very curious to hear what the issue is. I'll stand by a fuel/fuel filter issue, even a pinched fuel line or something.

If you don't want to work on your own stuff, don't drive past 5 dealers to the cheapest one and expect the closest one to prioritize you when your tractor breaks. You are lucky they are getting to it. You go to the end of the line, and people that bought there get stuff fixed first. Why would you expect to be treated special?
