Not sure how the T474 fuel system is laid out but is it possible this has blow molded fuel tank wrapped around close to loader frame mount and a hose got pinched. Agree don’t understand how would be by front axle unless loader has frame rails on both sides of the engine.
Well, it puzzles me a bit . . . 🤷‍♂️

Iirc, the 474 fuel tank is in the back. One of the reasons I went up a size, so I have the under-step tank.

When I was talking to the dealer that I’m dealing with now I told him that I bought the wrong size tractor. It is too small. Love that it fits under my 8’ garage doors, but several things about it inside the cab that make me think I should have went with the 494HC or 574HC. And the larger frame and lift capacity would be nice. I asked him if he thought he could sell my tractor if I traded up to bigger size, and that I couldn’t afford to lose much money. He said I can sell your tractor in 15 minutes. LOL He has a hard time getting enough of the 474 and 574. And, after asking me a few questions, he said the price of them has gone up since you bought it. (May) Don’t worry about losing money. So I’m considering the T494HC, T574HC, but also have my eye on the T4058PC. This is the next larger Series frame. Even stronger front axle, loader, nicer cab, suspension seat, etc.

I'm trying to figure out how the loader pinches the fuel line. Unless my 4820 is a lot different
On my Mahindra (A tym in disguise) the fuel filter is in front of the radiator.

A collapsed filter is a plugged filter. It's like adding %100 hydraulic load to the engine. It will kill the power. If it's collapsing hydraulic filters then you have a deeper problem in the hydraulic system.

I have a couple of questions for you. 1. Does your tractor have a hydrostatic transmission? 2. Did you buy it brand new? 3. Did it set on the dealer's lot in the Winter before you bought it? Filters can and do collapse inside. It's caused by condensation buildup in the hydraulic fluid which can freeze blocking the filter, or water can soften the paper element in the filter. In a hydrostatic transmission, the collapsed filter can stop fluid flow which is like trying to drive with the brakes on. Also, when the dealer replaced the collapsed filter, did they drain and replace the hydraulic fluid? The other potential problem could be water in the diesel fuel. If the fuel tank was allowed to run low a few times, water condenses fairly quickly. Did you check your sediment bowl for water collection? I've had all of the above issues with my New Holland tractor that I bought new in 1999.

I don't have the cab as I primarily work in the woods. My T574H has not given me any trouble.

I understand from some videos that the dealer has to be careful when attaching the loader with a cab. The hydraulic lines can get pinched.

I like the 4058, but I'd have to rebuild my barn even bigger. 😀

Not many people on this forum seem to understand that concept. That's a problem I've had with my New Holland. Condensation buildup is a common problem. I had a collapsed filter several years ago and I just had that symptom occur again about a month ago. I have to do a full drain an replace all of the filters. I also had condensation buildup in the fuel and had to drain a good amount of fuel to get the water out and I replaced the fuel filter. I changed the engine oil and filter. It took a while to bleed off the air, but I got it started. It's running fine, but I still need to deal with the hydraulic fluid and filters.

How would hydraulic filter collapsing cause engine RPM’s to drop to point it wouldn’t run? Diesel fuel filter or air filter yes but don’t understand hydraulic filter doing this unless somehow loading engine to point of stalling.

Glad dealer responded and hopefully will get the resolved.
It's called, "hydraulic locking". It can happen due to a few issues with the hydraulic system. 1. Condensation buildup in the hydraulic fluid and freeze in the Winter time, which willcollapseahydraulicfilter. 2. Condensation buildup in the warmer months can cause rust buildup that's carried into the filter, which will also collapse it. And 3. A combination of condensation buildup in the diesel fuel can cause water to mess with the injectors and the condensation buildup in the hydraulic system at the same time. I bought my New Holland brand new in 1999 and I've had the same problem three times. I'm dealing with that right now. It's almost fixed, but I have to drain the fluid and replace all of the hydraulic filters.

What model do you have? How many hours on your New Holland after 26 years?
