Thinking about replacing my aging copper with pex.
- Anybody done that, and have any recommendations?
- Should I include manifolds?
- Also looking at a whole house filter. Anybody have experience with Water Right Sanitizer Plus?

I have a lot to learn.

This deserves a whole thread of its own. And when you do, make sure to outline your reasons for the filter, as that will dictate the appropriate solution. If you have a recent water test, best to post that up, too.

Good morning, the low is 63 and going up to 75°F. Wind SSW 11 gusting to 18 mph. Sunny!

Junior needs to go to town today, he ran out of goobers. I'll let him take my E-trike.

The fella should be here soon to float the Kioti down to the shop. They are going to check and probably replace the glow plugs. The loader and BB are both off. It wastes less space that way. I usually run it with the hood on the safety, (not properly latched down), so I went out as soon as I got up and latched the hood properly and put the key in it.

Drew, when I chauffeured Dad & Mom in their Class C MH, we would empty the black water tank first, then the grey tank after that. Then give it a spritz with clean water. Hang it on our drying rack, the rear ladder for about 1/2 hour and then good to go.

In the boat there was a hand pump to get the sewage from the tank under the toilet (10 gallons+/-)to the tank aft on deck (25 gallons +/-) When that pump stopped working I had an electric macerater pump installed. Noisy but no repetitive motion involved. After a pump out I would dump 5 gallons of clean water into the tank under the toilet and run the pump to (a) clean out the toilet tank and (b) also clean out the pump. That water would be pumped out as well.

Time for breakfast, safe travels all.

56 this morning and will make a run at 80 today.

Worked on the buggy a bit yesterday and I may have found the problem. I have 3 coils. One brand new out of the box and another that had never been mounted and a spare from something else. All three tested bad. Who'd have thunk??!!
Got a new one coming today and I will test as soon as it gets here. Hopefully I will finally get some spark. Then I can start on fuel and vacuum lines.
Not much on the agenda until I get the mail.

I have a lot to learn.

I like PEX, but greatly prefer PEX-A. It’s better in every way than -B except that you need an expensive tool to expand the connections.

A manifold is nice, having all of your shut offs in one place if your layout allows for a home run to each location from a central point is very convenient, and having the home runs reduces that likelihood of the shower changing temperature when a toilet is flushed.
A filter is certainly not a bad idea, but I don’t have any specific guidance.

Good Morning
52° to start the day, high in the upper 70’s under a bright sun after the morning fog burns off. Another dry day, we definitely need some rain.

My whole weekend was consumed by the band playing out. Two days of playing and two load in and outs. Made it back in time yesterday for dinner with the family at the (mediocre) Plumsteadville Inn. We decided to try somewhere else for the next one.

Today I’ve got to unload a few things from the trailer, but I’m going to leave it mostly loaded for the next gig on the 18th.
Then I’ll park it and unhook it. Might try and squeeze in a trip to the RC club to fly with the old guys this morning, this afternoon I have to go to Boca Raton and back, filling in for a friend as a copilot, which is great, I have no responsibilities for logistics or flight planning, just climb in and go. Catering is ordered for our empty flight back.

Didn't get much done yesterday, which was just fine, dog walk and home to rest.

Talked to my uncle, he is pretty lost, but seems happy.

The delaware bridge authority proposed replacing the Washington crossing bridge already. It's just wide enough for 2 cars to pass, but that's it. A lot of protest, but they have not made a decision what to do and are having a study done.
We don't want a new/wide bridge and all the traffic it would bring to the park, right by all the preserved buildings. Which heavy traffic might damage.
