I do find it funny (well, sad) that we can get gun and sex adds but can't talk about it on a thread with embedded adverts.
While I have never been a hunter, I grew up around people who survived on hunting and farming.
But it's what keeps this site going....

Maybe time for a better advertising network, one that doesn't shove garbage out as ads.

Don't sweat it. A free forum where we get to talk about almost anything we want, hardly worth a complaint!

I have been part of forums that, in order to battle back against advertiser coersion, went to a paid subscription-based model. Of course most of the regulars were happy to comply, but it was sort of the beginning of the end, as it really curtailed drawing in newcomers.

and I doubt our owner's operation is.
they are probably building a new AI supercenter just to handle our load...

Had to move this thread to the front porch due to it getting flagged by our advertising networks for "inappropriate content" including *******s. So rather than try to censor words site-wide, we are moving any threads that get flagged, to the front porch.

I absolutely hate that advertisers will flock to news sites that talk about guns and shootings all day long but when people are talking about using *****s for hunting or in day to day life in the country, it gets flagged as "unsafe" and the networks want us to remove the ads from the pages. But that's the way it is for now.

I don't do front porch. Move it back please..

Good (Wednesday) morning. Overnight Low of 7.8C [wind chill] and it's presently 16.1C [with wind chill], mostly high overcast with strong wind [still!].

Nothing accomplished yesterday due to the high winds. I did receive an evening call to let me know that a Church gate was off of it's hinges; not due to the wind but due to destructive/bored 'kids'. It's 'school break' for a while = "idle hands". I'll check the situation out later on today when I'm 'in town'.

And it is 'into town' day for a PO stop, petrol top-up and groceries.

That's about it, take care all.

Went a lot easier and now that I made 700 dollars an hour compared to what it would have cost at the dealer would be only fair that is added to my tool budget.

I like that economic way of thinking!
