Yeah good point.

I’m not saying it’s more gooder than a cordless tool, just an alternative.
I have less than $400 spent on both and they are kind of fun to break out and use here’n’ there.

I definitely could see a use for a gas powered sawzalll to cut root leaders on stumps your pulling not grinding in the woods taking that in instead of a cordless sawzalll and bringing subsequent batteries. Or far easier easier than a gen set for a corded sawzalll. To bad it wasn't 50-1 like most of my gas powered tools though. Funny thing my cheap Chinese gas powered post hole digger and pile driver came with 1/2 gallon semi transparent cheap gas cans with integrated 2 stroke measuring gauge. So you put the oil in one side gas in the other and turn it upside down to mix and shake. I don't see a long lasting durability of these cheap containers though and eventually I'll get a small red one gallon gas can for 25-1 mix only. As long as they keep working somewhat reliably and I don't get affixiated from exhaust blowing right in my face using pile driver. 😂

I put a longer demolition blade in it and it ripped through a tree branch like a hot knife through butter.

Back in the early 60's my uncle was earning a few bucks helping clean up a trashed woody area near my house. He was using a saw that I believe is like the one in the video below.

... with a cocktail shaker duct-taped to the side of that blade? Half-gallon margeritas?

I think for my usage I would have to get a can of premix and add the appropriate amount of quality oil to the 50:1 to achieve that ratio and label that can, although I've read that modern synthetic oils are far superior to the standards back then

Idk if there that good to run 50-1 though imo cheap gas powered two strokes asking for 20-1 for break In and eventually 25-1 can't imagine them using high quality internal components imo. I buy synthetic or semi synthetic two stroke oil by the he gallon l for my old snowmobiles for both oil injection and premix have yet to have a catastrophic engine failure. I also use it to premix 50-1 for saws and other lawn care Two stroke implements without issue.

A relic from an era predating decent cordless tools and batteries. 😄
