Does anyone have a picture of their B series Kubota with the Teltrax fiberglass canopy attached they could post. I'm considering getting one through Carver's but their picture doesn't give you a real good idea of what it looks like...too close. I searched but could not find a picture.

You might try mowercanopies.com they show their sunshade on a Kubota.

I found one I kinda liked at http://www.tel-trax.com. I like the way it attaches a bit better and it's available in diamond plate. Unfortunately, they don't sell direct and the markup seems to be a bit on the high side. I saw one of the green guys got one for $130 less than I was quoted. I was quoted $375.00. Haven't gotten around to looking elsewhere yet.

Jeff, those pictures look to me like it attaches the same way my Well Ag Company canopy attaches. I went with the insulated steel painted to match the tractor, but could have gotten the diamond plate aluminum for the same price; $295. Of course, they only sell through tractor dealers.

I did a lot of searches looking for them the last time you posted a picture of your rig. Do you know if they have a web site or maybe an email address? I am told that Tel Trax will contact your dealer and try to work out a sale through them. Just wondering if they will do the same.

Jeff, you can go back to this link for the address and phone number. When I stopped to visit with them, the boss told me they'd be glad to have additional dealers and for anyone who was interested in their canopies to ask their tractor dealer to call them. He said they were working on a web site, but it wasn't completed yet, so I don't know whether they have one yet or not.

I just received and installed my canopy from mowercanopies on my JD 4400. Everything went fine with the company - prompt delivery. The universal mounting brackets are good, the canopy itself is very light weight. This canopy won't change your center of gravity and it will keep off some sun but I suspect you need to be carefull of low lying branches. For the price I thought it was a fair deal.

Jeff - I wanted a TelTrax so I called to see if they had a dealer near me. They said they did not - but because of that, they could sell me a "second" directly without going thru a dealer. The price was about half retail - and I can't find anything wrong with it except maybe a tiny area with some sand in the gel-coat. It's a nice rugged unit about 54"x66" - with reinforced steel framework.

BuckTop canopies are on this website. I checked these out with my dealer...KC-Canary, Fultonville, NY. Dealer quoted me a price of $430 for the size that fits a JD4710. Not sure which model canopy this was because there are different sizes. But, the price he quoted was for the stripped down version...no audio players, no speakers, no extras of anykind..just the canopy.

Audio player and speakers.....Now you're talkin'!!!!/w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif My wife gets wind that I want a canopy with a sound system she'll commit me! Hmmmmm, did they have one with a DVD and flat screen tv? Seriously, I decided to put the canopy on hold until I see how bad the sun is here in the summer. I have a lot of trees and as I only got to mow a few times last year so I didn't get a real good sense of what it will be like. I'd rather spend the cash on a post hole digger if it's not necessary.

This is taken from the article Muhammad wrote on the New York State Farm show
Also, perhaps the most exciting item found at the show was the BuckTop, a very well designed canopy. Actually, it was the best canopy I have ever seen. Comfort features like a weatherproof AM/FM/tape player with 4 speakers, a dome light, and light receptacle were just the kickers. With fiberglass construction and wood runners, a 1" drip edge, rugged mounting brackets, and a sleek design to match the John Deere 4410 it was mounted on, this one gets my vote. The company also makes units to Kubota, New Holland, and other manufacturers' tractors, and the cost is competitive with other canopies on the market.
$430 is a lot of money, but you are getting a heck of a canopy,
I bought one for my tractor.I like it.

Jeff396, It can get pretty hot & bright here in SC. Sort of depends upon how sensitive you are to sunlight. I'm glad I've got a canopy since it protects me from the quick afternoon storms that blow in. The canopy has also protected me from branches/trees during clearing and has held up well.

Did you happen to price one with the radio & dome light?

DDT,

Sorry, I didn't...contact John Miller III...he priced one out at the 2002 NY Farm show. He was quoting $950+ for the works...radio, speakers, etc.

A canopy will protect you from the rain if it is coming straight down, but if you have any wind with it,plan on getting wet./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

True enough, but it allows me enough time to seek shelter without getting completely soaked. If I was haying or growing other crops (really farming) where the schedule is an issue then I'd have a larger tractor with a full cab. Also, every farmer here seems to have a memory of bushhogging without a cab and finding yellowjackets. That's an experience I'd just as soon miss.

You might make it to the dry if it is not blowing too hard,I agree with a cab.I would love to have one with A/C.
