Agree. Bought my 5900D new in 2007. Never exposed to salt or paved roads...only mud and occ. water. No rust.

I went to my local auto parts store, told them what I needed, they looked up which filters were compatible with my 2007 Toolcat 5600, they had several different ones in stock, I got the best one they had...perfect fit...no problem.
