    SURPRISE!

Don't think I necessarily agree with that. Most people aren't out to defraud someone buy selling a used vehicle that's had issues. There's a whole list of things that could be an issue buying something used. Did the owner keep the maintenance done, or use it beyond it's limitations. It's nice...

    Scam? I think so.

Totally scam. Tried to buy a forklift years ago under the same circumstances. When I offered to drive and see it communication stopped. Keep your cash in your pocket.

    Mice got me!

Just got my son for $650.00 on his JD 3520. He replaced the battery and tried to start it. Smoke went everywhere. He was not happy thinking he had messed up. Turned out to be mice chewing on the wiring harness. I think he got off cheap.

How much does it cost to build a pole barn and what kind is best..

I've been building professionally for 50 years. I really like building pole buildings but have found it's really tough to beat the pricing of a professional barn builder. The one thing I like is to have a couple courses of 2 x treated around the bottom instead of one. The bottom of the metal...

    Mirrors on a 3R Cab

Love the mirrors. Use them all the time. Took a while to learn to dodge it getting out of the cab but wouldn't be without them.

Well today I learned 5 things about post hole augers

Once I get the hole to depth I'll raise and lower the auger several times and let the dirt fly off. That really helps keep the manual post hole diggers to a minimum. I've not had the "joy" of backing the auger out by hand yet but I have broken plenty of shear bolts. Keep a good supply. As for...

    bucket level indicator

I've been using the loader for a few years now and use the indicator all the time. Not sure when I'll cross the line from beginner/novice to whatever it is that makes me a not beginner/novice. If anyone can quantify that feel free to pitch in.

scut ride comfort while mowing, R4 vs turf vs R14

Agree with not having a MMM. I had a rear mount years ago and thought a MMM would be so much better but not so. I have a deere 3520 and unless there are just wide open spaces with limited trimming it is a long slow job to get done. I even have a cab and it's still to rough and to slow. ZT...

    Frontier RC 1072 drive line

Thanks for the help. Fortunately I had a old farm equipment dealer a couple towns over that has switched to yard & garden that has the tubing in stock. They took the ends off and rebuilt the drive line for $150. Pretty pleased with the deal. Thanks again for the help.

    Frontier RC 1072 drive line

The tractor is a JD 3520. The collapsed length is approximately 45. Kind of hard to know exactly where to measure from. It splined on the tractor, smooth with shear bolt on the cutter.

    Frontier RC 1072 drive line

I agree I should get the entire shaft. No one seems to make one. Parts from JD are way to expensive.

    Frontier RC 1072 drive line

That is correct. At least the inner shaft.

    Frontier RC 1072 drive line

The drive line on my RC 1072 got damaged and I've looked everywhere for a replacement. Anyone know of a place that might sell parts or new shafts? The cutter is hardly worth repairing but if I can find a part I spend a couple hundred to fix it. The damaged part is the inner shaft. Thanks.
