The crack on the right is indeed a crack. I'm certain it wasn't there before. At least not prior to the past couple days. I noticed it when the Break happened.
I think the dark spots you are seeing is hydraulic oil?

Basically I've always liked the plowing with my box blade rather than the bucket. This time of year I've got lots of large snow banks that have thawed and frozen. I was pushing some fresh snow into an old bank and the sudden stop of the box pushed the force upwards, hard on the top link...

I have an insurance policy specially for the tractor all by itself. But yes, I totally agree, I hope it covers this kind of thing. These policy documents aren't written very well.
I know this post is old. I've been looking around for anyone who's had a similar issue I just had. Not the same, but sheared of housing where the top link attached. Pushing snow with a box blade. Hit a frozen bank. N4510
Here is a decent shot. The vertical part that goes up out the top of the photo attaches to the loader arms. The horizontal goes to the back axle. Note the bolts
Picture attached. The subframe is in parts. The magor attachment point is bolted to the area next to the engine, but then a long horizontal piece is bolted to that piece, and goes to the back axle. I'm wondering if I take off just the horizontal piece
