Backhoe Cracked Transmission case between bolts attaching backhoe

In case anyone is interested. Insurance company is making good on it. This is my own non kioti, non home owner policy.

Backhoe Cracked Transmission case between bolts attaching backhoe

The crack on the right is indeed a crack. I'm certain it wasn't there before. At least not prior to the past couple days. I noticed it when the Break happened. I think the dark spots you are seeing is hydraulic oil?

Backhoe Cracked Transmission case between bolts attaching backhoe

A lot slower than a pickup plows snow, but not crawling. I concider it normal speed. .

Backhoe Cracked Transmission case between bolts attaching backhoe

Sure- Basically I've always liked the plowing with my box blade rather than the bucket. This time of year I've got lots of large snow banks that have thawed and frozen. I was pushing some fresh snow into an old bank and the sudden stop of the box pushed the force upwards, hard on the top link...

Backhoe Cracked Transmission case between bolts attaching backhoe

Nx4510, 2014 I have an insurance policy specially for the tractor all by itself. But yes, I totally agree, I hope it covers this kind of thing. These policy documents aren't written very well.

Backhoe Cracked Transmission case between bolts attaching backhoe

Nope. But I'm waiting on my insurance company. Not holding my breath. I don't really know what to expect for this kind of claim.

Backhoe Cracked Transmission case between bolts attaching backhoe

I know this post is old. I've been looking around for anyone who's had a similar issue I just had. Not the same, but sheared of housing where the top link attached. Pushing snow with a box blade. Hit a frozen bank. N4510

Removing a Subframe from a FEL. Issues?

I think I saw this for sale on Facebook or craigslist! I think they got it put back together... I think I'm convinced.

Removing a Subframe from a FEL. Issues?

Just because it's not what I wanted to hear doesn't mean it's rude, or wrong!

Removing a Subframe from a FEL. Issues?

Here is a decent shot. The vertical part that goes up out the top of the photo attaches to the loader arms. The horizontal goes to the back axle. Note the bolts

Removing a Subframe from a FEL. Issues?

Sorry for that. You are completely right, other tractors I've worked on it's basically all one piece. This is multiple. No backhoe

Removing a Subframe from a FEL. Issues?

If the frame weren't there, I could do one large skid plate. But I can't argue that having the frame plus multiple plates might be stronger.

Removing a Subframe from a FEL. Issues?

Picture attached. The subframe is in parts. The magor attachment point is bolted to the area next to the engine, but then a long horizontal piece is bolted to that piece, and goes to the back axle. I'm wondering if I take off just the horizontal piece

Removing a Subframe from a FEL. Issues?

This gets to the heart of what I'm asking. If that's the case, it might answer my question

Removing a Subframe from a FEL. Issues?

I have a 2014 Kioti NX4510. The FEL is attached to a Subframe. It's a wicked strong loader, generally I assume it's a good idea to leave on the subframe. The problem is, I'm getting ready to use it for some rugged woods work (skidding), and the subframe eats up a lot of clearance. On the left...

    Another Loader Problem

Hi everyone, I have a slight problem with my new (to me) old loader. Its a McCormick Power Loader #50 on an IH 460 utility. 12GPM hydraulic Pump. I had the cylinders rebuilt and all the hoses replaced by a professional, and just installed them. This is the first time the loader has been used in...

Front-End Loader Resource to find McCormick loader pictures/models

Got some pictures today. Just of the lift arms. They aren't great pictures... the one with "McCormick" printed on the side actually is that difficult to read.

Front-End Loader  Resource to find McCormick loader pictures/models

I acquired an international 460 utility last summer, it had a McCormick loader on it some time ago, the previous owner had taken it off. He's giving the loader to me for free, its going to need quite a bit of work. Right now its on the ground, in the snow. I couldn't find any distinguishable...

    IH 460 Power Steering.

Already posted this in the repair forum, but I haven't gotten much response. Figured I'd try here! The power steering gear assembly. These tractors are apparently notorious for steering problems. I got the tractor this summer, and it ran great except it was leaking hydraulic oil from the power...

    IH 460 Power Steering.

Hi Everyone, Thanks again to all that helped me get my tractor running earlier this winter. Runs great now. Now, to the issue that spawned all my other issues... The power steering gear assembly. These tractors are apparently notorious for steering problems. I got the tractor this summer, and...

    IH 460 wont start

Ok, so tried testing the spark plugs... no go. No spark. I have one idea that doesn't make complete sense, but I though I would check back here before I tried anything.I have the resistor hooked up through the push button switch, so the plugs might not be getting any spark if the button isn't...

    IH 460 wont start

I've been having trouble for awhile now. Everything was running fine in July, but tore it down (gas tank, dash, throttle, etc) to pull out the power steering gear assembly because it was leaking heavily. Finally got the gear assembly back from my mechanic at the end of November, and after...

Cutting an exhaust hole in hood- IH 460 utility

Hi All, I'm converting a horizontal exhaust IH 460 utility to a vertical exhaust. I need to cut a hole in the hood though.... how should I go about marking out the placement of the hole? I don't see any easy way other than getting close... and making the whole extra wide. I don't really want to...

Cutting an exhaust hole in hood- IH 460 utility

Hi All, I'm converting a horizontal exhaust IH 460 utility to a vertical exhaust. This was a factory option, but if you chose a horizontal exhaust, the hood came without a hole I guess. So I've got the parts to shoot it up out of the manifold, but now I need to make sure I get a hole lined up...

New from Downeast Maine, International 460 Utility

Hi Everyone, New member with my first post. I've browsed this forum for awhile. I just traded my 24hp bolens iseki for an International 460 utility. Its more more apropriate for my needs, but IT needs some TLC. Relatively functional, just a lot of leaky hydraulics, lousy exhaust, bad tires...
