Clearing snow (3 kilometer long wood trail)

I use a 7' manual articulating rear blade to clear 500' rock driveway. Most snows vary from 2" to 10". I have a 25 HP Kioti that makes quick work of it. If 5"or more, I need to takes multiple passes. I have euro chains, couldn't do it without them. The blade is Everything Attachments deluxe...

    Kubota vs Kioti?

KIOTI CK2610HST is a wonderful tractor. I work mine hard and it never fails me. The seat is super comfortable and the dual pedals are much more comfortable to use and I like the position of the joystick much better. This tractor is comparable to Kabota L2501 and was $3,000 cheaper when I bought...

    Tonneau Cover thoughts?

I have Lomax hard trifold and love it. The two advantages of this over the similar competition is 1. Made in USA, 2. Completely removes in literally 10 seconds with no tools. These two feature are unique to the brand and cost about the same. Lomax Folding Hard Tonneau Covers Lineup | Tri Fold...

It's Time For Medicare (whether I want it or not)

The "advantage" of straight up Medicare is that you can go to any doctor or any hodpital in the country. This can be supplemented with another policy, A-N, that covers anything left after Medicare. The supplement policy cannot deny any claim that Medicare pays. The Advantage Plans are HMO's...

End of season strategy for gravel surfaces?

I have a 500' driveway on a 20% slope in the White Mountains of NH. We get 4'-5' of snow per year. Fortunately it ices up only about twice per winter as it usually stays below freezing here in the mountains. I plow with an articulating rear blade, facing forward on frozen driveway, facing...

    Traction and Skids

I love those chains! I have them on my Kioti CK2610HST.

Quick Hitches 6-way Deluxe Rear Scrape Blade from EA

I have added OFA-8 CHAINS on the loaded rear tires. Having plowed a few times now with 2" of snow build-up, it is working like a charm. Even in the 100' section that is 20% (1:5 slope), going both up and downhill. Most likely, if I let it build up 6" or more, then I would be limited to downhill...

Snow Equipment Owning/Operating Pictures of your snow weapons

In front of my CK2610HST is a 450' driveway going downhill at 19%. Behind it is a 7' wide Everything Attachments 6-way Scrape blade. Those are OFA-8 chains on the loaded rear tires.

Price Check  Bought a new Kioti CK2610HST

Finally finished building my retirement house in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, just in time for winter. Last week I bought my 1st tractor, a Kioti CK2610HST with 66" bucket, 42" Forks (2200# capacity) and rim-guard filled rear tires (R-4s). Today my 7' 6-way rear Scrape blade was...

New member in NH with 1st tractor

I've been poking around for a while to learn, and have I ever! I'm a city slicker who recently retired and moved to the mountains. And, I bought my 1st tractor TODAY, a Kioti CK2610HST. It was a cold, rainy day, so pictures are in the garage. Be prepared for lots of questions! [emoji4]

How to generator power pass through to inside the house.

I recently moved into a new house with the pictured breaker box and outside generator connection. I'm interested in running only the fridge, gas stove, propane heat control and well pump, plus a couple of LED light bulbs. I understand the switching at the breaker box, and will disconnect at...
