Kubota L4400 4x4 manual trans change to hydrostatic

"It's certinly possible" That is all this old tractor driver, tree farm owner, near 20 year Kubota owner and a 5 clan Scott asked to know. You do not need to know my budget, because that is my business not your business, ever, period. Never mistake a Scott for not havng money to spend, they...

Kubota L4400 4x4 manual trans change to hydrostatic

Can an old 06 L4400 be changed out from a manual transmission to a new style hydrostatic transmission? A prior spinal cord injury, is acting up as I get older, imagine that, the manual clutch is more difficult to use for all day loading/unloading operations due to.... Timber cutters are coming...

Broken tip on dipstick. How? Where is it?

Would be nice to have a dip stick for hydraulic oil on my 13 year old L4400, the little glass eye bubble is useless. Stays covered by dirt. I use a extra long screwdriver at the moment.:)

About painting a steel sided building

They make specific paint for metal building application. They also make a product for old paint, Emulsion Bond, that penetrates the old paint layer to adhear to the original surfave. Painting a matal building requires a good surface prep as has been said previously. You ned to allow drying time...

Bought new pickup should I get it undercoated ?

New, not exposed to salt air and never on the road, yes. Any exposure to salt, the undercoating only seals in the corrosive elements already present. Washing it does not really help to remove any corrosion that has started. Iron or Aluminum oxide is a chemical action.

    How much winch is enough?

My dealer bought a HD flat bed wrecker setup for hauling broke down heavy tractors. Got down to $50 round trip, so my trailer gets little use anymore. Dealer is 30 miles one way, does not make sense for me to load, unload and haul it both ways for $25 per side.

    Storing implements for the winter.

If you need more implements, they do propagate, if left inside a dark barn. I leave the dumb implements on fence posts or poles outside.;)

Lifting safe - Ballast Box needed?

Most times the problem is not getting the safe off, it is getting the safe in the house, where it will sit. Have them deliver with a drop gate or Tommy Lift, whatever you call it, you position it on a piano dolly or safe dolly and roll it directly into the room in the house, through the front...

Why Suzuki is better than Kubota

I only own two zero turns, 10 degree slope max and they do not like tree limbs, concrete or rocks. A high speed blade tip grass mower and a stump is quite entertaining. I do the bad stuff with a 6' "rotary mower" with a big thick double swing blade, read Bush Hog, bush hog hooked to the back of...

    TMG chipper

Have had two chippers, only way I would ever have another one is if I could not burn at all. I found that anything that takes a shock, stump grinder or chipper, spells maintenance and broken parts. Plus the down time can easily out weigh the work time. I would prefer piling and burning, 6 times...

Bought a new L3560, state shut down the project. Sell or keep?

Best idea is to say yes sir to the Corps of Engineers, been there. Their badge and gun section carries a gold US Marshal badge. I have seen those too. If they show up, someone is going to jail. You have a nice honcho, otherwise it is always, they pay a contractor to restore and you get the...

    Another chipper accident

Wood cutting, chipping and grinding is real dangerous work. I own a tree farm with two high power transmission lines that cross the property, I get well away from those guys when they come to cut easements. Those vertical bush hogs on booms are the worst, they throw cut limbs and chunks hundreds...

interlock switch for generator backfeeding panel

Last thing you want to do is back feed onto the power grid, when guys are working on the lines, especially after a hurricane or other natural calamaty. Electric company frowns on frying their linemen.

    2016 Ram 3500 opinions.

Daughter and husband bought an 18, had one recall right after another with no parts to repair or replace. Check the recall history of the specific model and the specific engine, before you jump. They just traded it in on a Jeep Cherokee of all things.......

L2501. Can't see line on sight glass...over filled!

Kubota has two ideas that are WTF were you thikng stuff, the U joint hydrologic connection held in only by rubber O rings, under the tractor and that spirit glass that gets covered by any dirt, any dust, any mud or any grass cuttings. Just drain the hydraulic oil in a new clean, wiped down...
