L3830GST won't turn over after working fine yesterday

Does anyone have a list of the safety switches that ARE ON the L3830GST and where they are located? That would be a great help in tracking down this issue. Thanks.

L3830GST won't turn over after working fine yesterday

I checked the battery and the cranking amps were down to about half of the battery rating. I replaced the battery with a new one, but it did not help. Then, I bypassed the ECU input at the starter, and the engine cranked immediately, but when I re-enabled the ECU input, the starter wouldn't...

L3830GST won't turn over after working fine yesterday

Okay, I changed the engine oil and filter and it still won't turn over. I guess I will try checking the safety switches in the morning.

It very well could be. Is it a matter of visual inspection or what...?

L3830GST won't turn over after working fine yesterday

No clicking; the only reaction is a slight flicker to the dash lights at the instant I turn the key to start. I know the engine oil and filter need changing; is there a failsafe to prevent the engine from starting?

L3830GST won't turn over after working fine yesterday

I changed the hydraulic fluid as part of the 600 hour service, and then used the tractor to bush hog for about 4 hours with no problems. Put the tractor in the barn for the night last night. Went to start the tractor today, and it will not turn over. The dash lights up as usual, the glow plug...

Bush Hog CZ2149 zero surn mower shutting off...why?

I have a Bush Hog CZ2149 zero turn mower with a Kawasaki 21hp engine; the mower has 240 hours on it accumulated over the last six years since I bought it new. Last year, I began to experience shut downs. While mowing along, the engine would suddenly quit as if the fuel had been shut off. After...

MrJimi, details on your root bucket

MrJimi, I have searched and found some photos of your root bucket, and found the drawing of how to cut the 4' by 8' sheet of steel, but no other details such as material thickness or attachment method. My FEL uses the skid-steer standard QC. Can you provide links or additional construction...

Too big for my Kubota L3830GST

Here are a couple of pix from my continuing effort to clean up about 20 acres around my barn and building site. They show one way to down a dead tree...maybe not the safest way...but successful none-the-less.

Bucket Hooks  My new Markham tooth bar and chain hooks

I know it's nothing new to most of you, but I wanted to post a picture of my bucket with the Markham tooth bar and new chain hooks. The tooth bar improves the usability of the bucket for digging. I used it to fill in an old hand dug pond, and it worked great.

100 yards from house to septic tank?

I am thinking about locating my septic tank behind my (not yet built) pole barn so that I can have a bathroom in the pole barn. The pole barn will be about 100 yards from my (not yet built) house and there is sufficient fall between the house site and the pole barn site. Is there a problem with...

    Fiberglass Canopy Repair

I ran my fiberglass top into a tree branch and smashed the front pretty good. I priced a replacement and they wanted $400, so I am trying to patch mine with fiberglass cloth and epoxy. I think I can make it waterproof again, but I'm not sure it will stand up to the vibration. Has anyone done...

    New outbuilding suggestions wanted.

I am planning a new outbuilding for my small farm in NE Mississippi, and currently am thinking of a 30' by 30' by 12' metal building. The building will have two overhead metal doors - one 10' by 10', and the other 18' by 10' on the opposite end of the building. There will be two 36" people...

    How to Burn Big Logs

I am clearing out some trees and have created quite a lot of debris. Yesterday, I burned the smaller stuff and most of the larger logs, but I still have 5 or 6 really big logs (30" to 48" diameter) left. (A couple are beech and the rest are oak; all were dead or dying before they were cut.) What...
