...and where in the world this is. I was more inclined towards tulip tree, but that's not it. Must be some oak after all, but again, some geographic info always helps. Oaks are "promiscuous", related species can hybridize, so that can add uncertainty.

To me, the issue is simple-I don't come to a forum called tractorbynet to discuss politics. There are all kinds of rabbit holes folks can waste their time in, screaming at each other in their pajamas. This forum, I think, is best when it sticks to topics relating to tractors, attachments...

On my bobcat, I screwed a screw into frost plug, then pried on that to get plug out. We used Permatex, forget the number, to seal unit in block, and some kind of pipe dope for actual threaded in insert. Mine loosened up-the threaded insert, not the sleeve in the block-and was in a difficult...

I recently got the Tecomec version of the same thing....still working to dial it in, but I got used to sharpening that way in a previous life, and in general, think these things are worth having.

I've been wondering for a while whether or not the huge popularity of these grapples is not going to lead to lots of shot front axle seals, bearings, premature wear to loader arms, etc.... Seems some want to overdo it with these things, plus many versions are in and of themselves quite weighty...

My thoughts exactly Jstpssing....winter until April is best. We've had some freak early warmups in a few past years.... doesn't help anything. Not to mention, I've still got about a hundred and a half stems to drop in my plantation thinning...and that's winter work.
