If you've got beech, and you don't want to damage the larger trees just off the trail, then yes do select an active ingredient with lower translocatability-if that's a word-and BTW, I don't know which one it is. Beech tree roots are definitely connected together. Oh, and you have my permission...

You could use that same sprayer. I keep separate sprayers:. One for glyph, triclo, etc, one for insecticides, fungicides, plant protectants, and one for broadleaf herbicide, used on turf areas. That way, no unfortunate results from cross contamination.

The 2-4D ain't no thang. Not more toxic than the triclo contingent, less so than Tordon. Don't overthink it-you're using tiny amounts of actual solution, if doing cut-stump treatment (which you should) as jyoutz points out. Couple drops of blue dye can work wonders in helping one keep track...

Garlon was (and is) a well known brand name for triclopyr. But numerous others by now. Such as Remedy.

I'd go with the triclopyr product. Tordon likes to deep down into ground water.

My Bobcat ct2025 might be similar sized machine. I can fit under my nominally seven foot overhead. Sometimes I have to push the door itself up a bit if it has sagged. Looking at same issue also in that Norse winch will soon live on rear of my tractor. I'm pretty sure🙃 that'll fit too.

Yup. Have to measure and engineer this thing yet. Found a good source for custom metal sizes, for when the boneyard is lacking. I'd use scraps too if they were available.

After reviewing many sources, think I'll skip the small-hole, 8-gauge stuff. Likely stiff enough, but now believe it better to go with perhaps 1-inch openings, but in a heavier gauge, maybe 8 or 9, see what's available. Better headlight/air penetration methinks.

I'd base retirement decisions on many factors. A given state's tax policy would be one, but far from top of list. I don't want to leave all my projects, land, tree farm, etc. just because I finally hung up my work hat. All that matters to me is where I already am.

My Bobkioti specs 90 weight or multi viscos 75/110 or some such. That's what I've got in my front axle. Pretty sure that was hydro oil that drained out when we changed out factory fluids at 50 hrs. Not sure how good it will be with this 2020 machine....just doing what manual says.

A lot of guys with tractor skidding winches run their machines at low rpms, to better calm down the winching action. Too fast at higher throttle settings, I've read. Presumably, fairly long periods at or near idle. Hmmm?

I don't know what's best, but I like the LocknLube pneumatic I've got. Fits all my fittings but have to see if angled tip available and workable for clutch pedal zerk-can't get right angle on that guy.

Rotella 1540's been available. T-6 540 is the item I and others have been unable to source. Now I'm still a relatively new, 2-year and change tractor owner and still figuring out how I want to do stuff. I could've gotten 5-gal pail of T-6 but balked at the pump price, over a hundred bucks...

That's all that's around here-1540. I need 540. Changed over to the Farm-Rated stuff yesterday. True enough, has CJ, but not CK rating. CJ is adequate for my machine. Maybe Rotella will become more available at some point and this stuff can become my spring change stuff.

I just switched from T-6 Rotella, due to unobtainium issues, to something called Farm-Rated, a locally produced brand sold at Fleet Farm. I think it'll probably be just as good as the fancy stuff....er highly marketed stuff. I use 540 year-round.

Just got C.I.D. pallet forks for my 25 horse Bobcat. Lightest ones that still had a headache rack. Already proving invaluable Don't "over-fork" your machine, save some of that lift capacity for loads. Quicktach, Bobtach, etc makes having set of these a no-brainer. I got 42s too.

...or, folks are seeing the add and it's not right for their needs, tractor size, etc. Used winches are very scarce. Finding one on CL hardly reverses that fact.
