I don't think the NS model was introduced until much later than 2014

I've enjoyed mine. It's a great size, and a comfortable cockpit. I'm 6'2" and it's roomy. My DK35 was cramped. Suspension seat is great, but I wish it would fold to keep the barn cats off the seat. All the safety features take some getting used to; tractor shuts down when you get off the tractor...

You can see them painting that transmission filter with the case. That why it's so hard to remove on the first change. I had to destroy mine to get it off.

My NS4710 feels pretty solid. Step is solid. I wish it had a step on both sides but I've gotten used to. My old DK35 (in Cub Cadet livery) had plastic fenders, but began to have electrical issues. It lead a hard life before I got it. The NS frame and cockpit were much larger and fit me better...

Given that many owners do their own service, I think Kioti should proofread manuals and service information much more thoroughly.

The 50 hr service on my NS 4710 was due, so I got started. The inside cover of the manual differs from the maintenance section regarding what is required, so I went with the one that requires the most items, just in case. Why on earth does Kioti screw the filters on so tight at the factory...

That's a good idea. I haven't had the grapple off my machine yet but I'm nearing the end of my tree work for this season.

Nothing compact about the grapple on there. I wonder what that thing weighs? It will also get the load farther away from the lift pin, compounding the problem. Add the weight of a cab, big rocks, etc. Were boats being picked up in the boat yard? That might have exceeded the design limits of the...

I definitely wear good gloves and eye protection when doing all tractor chores. I finally bought a good pair of clear eye protection glasses, no correction, for low light work.

I recently got a new NS with a grapple. It came from the dealer with the grapple installed. I'm using the rear aux remote hydraulic lines to run this grapple, rather than a real third function setup. I haven't taken the grapple off since I got the tractor. I was moving a bunch of downed tree...

Nevermind the tow rating of the vehicle. Hope the trailer has brakes.

One thing I miss about my old DK35 was the lack of all these safety switches, for the convenience, and simplicity. My new NS4710 is less likely to kill me but more likely to drive me crazy.
