I sure did. And you can too. I got tired of my crappy phone draining while I do tractor work (it only takes about 4 hours to drain) so rather than replace my aged $150 phone I drilled huge holes in my brand new $24k tractor. Makes perfect sense to me. Plus now I can plug in my spotlight. They are marine outlets I got from Amazon. Dual USB outlet, 12v outlet.
I installed them on a portion of the dash fairing that had a downward slope so water wouldn't be tempted to get it (in spite of the rubber caps, water is ornery). There was barely enough room for the outlets, and not enough room to plug the spade terminals onto the the prongs, so I soldered the wires directly to the spade terminals and put dual wall adhesive lined heatshrink tubing over them. I picked up a 10A fused accessory hot wire from the an unused plug coming out the back of the fuse box right to the side of where the outlets are. It was labeled "EHL" on the fuse panel. No idea what that stands for. No such text appears in the operators manual or service manual. Well now it stands for "phone charger."
Figuring out where to install them was the hardest part, and involved a lot of fumbling around blind behind the dash with a Sharpie trying to outline where crap was back there.
I just did this an hour ago so the results on longevity are not in yet. If it gets rained on and dies or catches the tractor on fire, I'll let you know.
